So I had a couple of ideas before I startedout building a sportscar. Unfortunatly I weren't able to use most of them. Atleast not in this first version.

Anyhow here' are some pictures of my first attempt as an AFOL to build a sportscar.

That speed racers window is great for making sportscars. However, I don't really like 6-wide cars (5-wide max, 6- and 7-wide for trucks). But other than that: it looks really good.

Its a little to wide in my opinion.

You did a sweet job on the front bumper and the exhaust pipe

Those Speed Racer windshields look awesome, I never noticed them until now

Very nice! Unlike most people I don't mind 6-wide cars, it all depends on how you want them to work. For me 4-wide looks ridiculous. Great use of the Speed Racer window piece, I love how you've done the rear view mirrors as well.

This is sweet! I like the color and the size of the car. The windshield looks great and all of the smooth tiles really make this car look fast. The headlights on the car are also fantastic. I always have seemed to struggle with the bumper and lights on my cars.

Thanks for your comments guys. I went with 6-wide as the original plan was to make the car two-seated. Unfortunatly the idea I had turned out to not work as well in reality as I thought. Atleast not until LEGO comes up with 1x2x4 panels. :/

Great Sports car. As others have mentioned already the front lights are really well done. I really light the amber that you added in behind the one set. Exhaust pipes are a nice addition too. As for it being too wide, I disagree. I think you have to go six wide to get any amount of detail in to the car and you have taken advantage of that.

Cool MOC, has given me some inspiration for my own sports car (to be built in red) although mine will look more like a Ferrari or other similar super car.

Good to know that the speed racer windscreen (which I was also planning to use) looks good on a car at this size.
