Superkalle Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I'd like to join. Please add me to the list...
Ras 74 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 You are added superkalle. Now get your a$$ to Fagersta as well or I will meet you by track 4 next saturday.
Matt Dawson Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I'd love to go, but it seems like I'd have to spend a fortune - £300 for a hotel, plus another £250 for flights...and that's going on my OWN. Plus of course all the spending money...I'd be in the £750 region and that's probably not enough...now, if you'd held it at Windsor instead... I'm afraid i'll be missing this one. Shame there's so few AFOLs in Birmingham...
Ras 74 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 I dont think we ever paid that much for the rooms. Think we have paid some 50-60 €. Oh, we do not stay at the hotel, that is ridiculously expensive. We stay in the "village". Maybe if you would like to have your own room and cant think of charing with 3 others. Billund is a RyanAir airport. In RyanAirs list they got a airport in (probably means it is a 2 hour drive to it) Birmingham. When I tryed to do a search from Birmingham to Billund, it was not possible to do. I suggest to call them and ask. Then you will get away really cheap. I have flewn with them several times, and that have costed me less then 30 € in several occations. Next year the plan is to go to Windsor again, but look into the whole thing once more.
Quarryman Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 You are added superkalle. Now get your a$$ to Fagersta as well or I will meet you by track 4 next saturday. I'm almost getting worried about the high number of Swedes coming, even with a 100% increase of the Norwegian delegation from this year we'll be hard pressed to keep up with you guys
Henning M. Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Hi all being new to this forum. I am very happy to come to the event even though it is only a few days after our danish klodsfest (brickfest). Looking forward to meet you all. Best regards Henning M.
Capt. Kirk Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I dont think we ever paid that much for the rooms. Think we have paid some 50-60 €Oh, we do not stay at the hotel, that is ridiculously expensive. We stay in the "village". --> For a room with 4 persons you pay ca. 153 € (incl. breakfast buffet and cleaning of the room at departure). Or 38,25 € if you devide it. LegoLand Village Price link. The double bed (on the right side if you enter). The 2 single beds (on the left side if you enter) - the one with the drawings is the second bed (pullman-bed) The food is good and the veggies have much choice (I went in september when I was there for the graphic designer job). You can also stay at the airport... very cheap and it's in walking distance from Legoland. Twin room = DKK 419 (ca. 56 €) Triple room = DKK 489 (ca. 65 €) Quadruple Room = DKK 559 (ca. 75 €)
Ras 74 Posted November 10, 2009 Author Posted November 10, 2009 Thanks for that info Capt. Kirk! I think we all will be in the Village, but good to know the options. @Henning M:Welcome to EuroBricks! Please go here and make a small presentation of your self. Let the rest of EB get to know you a bit better.
Ratshot Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Do you guys go to Billund just to scocialize or what?
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 13, 2009 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 13, 2009 Do you guys go to Billund just to scocialize or what? Socialize, build, visit the park, buy Lego, drink, have fun, ...

Ras 74 Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 It is a lot of fun actually. To meet the guys and girls that is on the board where you spend so much time. We get more and more for every year, and the once that comes, they tend to come back every year.
Henning M. Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Any news on the organisation of the event? how do we book up for accomodation?? Best regards Henning M.
Ratshot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 What type of meat(s) do they serve at the hotel? It looks like they serve veggies only
Zorro Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 What a silly question...don't you know that eating meat is against the law in Denmark? You could easily get up to 3 months of imprisonment for breaking this law! They do serve veggy burgers and some soy products though, just to ease the pain for you animal-killing 'Americanos'! (It's probably on the left of the picture or on another table) .
