This goes without saying, but it really is a beautiful ship.

It also goes without saying that very soon TLG will be getting another large chunk of my money.

I really like how the yards are designed. (I hope I'm getting the naval terminology right -- correct me if I'm wrong. I'm referring to the horizontal arms that hold the sails.)

Either way, I'm going to attempt to reverse-engineer the design for use on Brickbeard's Bounty.

The only criticism I can think of, and this is no more than a nitpick, is that I would have liked to have seen a bit more dark blue instead of the light blue stripe and blue gunports.

Wow! Just what we have all been waiting for! An Imperial ship. Very nice move on the Lego Company's part. But, on the other hand........ Ugh! Everytime I save up money, Lego has to go and drain it again. :pir_laugh2:

I'd like to just say that I was at BrickCon when this was shown. It looks bloody gorgeous.

Seriously, up close, the detail is amazing, and I WILL be saving to buy it with any luck! It'll be grand with the Soldiers Fort I won in the free Raffle they did :D

MMV is an exclusive but I have seen other sites sell them at the same price as lego.

Anyway, this ship is great. But the price. If it was 100usd, I would have picked it up for sure, but now that I have seen the price, probably never.

I can't believe we have to wait 2 and a half months for this.

Perhaps thats not that bad mate. Look at it on positive note; if short on funds, $20 a week saved will get you that beauty in 10 weeks ;)

Good Point.

The reality is I am very happy to know we are getting this set after having the rug pulled out from under us with the line being discontinued.

;) Agree. This set is something that every LEGO fan will appreciate. I have never spent more then $100 for a set but this one will be bought the first day it comes out.
