TheBrickHitHouse Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 This thing can easily be modded to 14 guns, check the gaps between the guns where the crates go. Arch brick fits nicely, add the gun port flap and sorted! I just can't mod sets I buy - so I'll need to get a second one, thus preserving the first ones purity, OCD FTW! Quote
Ratshot Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Feel free to write a review... Agreed! Is there any chance that this set will be available before Jan 1st. Most sets that are scheduled to be released in January are available @ Shop in mid December, is there ANY chance whatsoever of this happening? Quote
Rick Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I can't recall TLG ever releasing an Exclusive with a publicly announced release date earlier than scheduled through S@H. So I guess it will be unlikely that it will be released before christmas. This is different for retail items, where next year's sets - especially in the U.S. - are sometimes released before christmas. Still makes me wonder where the copies that appear to be on the market now, come from. Quote
Dr. Steve Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Haha, Just got one. It is BEAUTIFUL. My brickbeard's bounty is getting pounded. Where did you get it? Did you take the plunge and spend $350 for the one on brick link? Quote
Captain M Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Where did you get it? Did you take the plunge and spend $350 for the one on brick link?I thought I was going to be the first to get it. :PPlease make a review! :D Quote
Piterio Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) You lucky bastard... having this magnificent set before anyone else has it. Toy's 'r us ocassion? Imperial ship beeing this big, with lots of details, interior and not a MOC is quite impressive (okay, we can say that TLC designers are making MOCs which are becoming sets ^^). I especially like the colour. Minifigs? I'd prefer more unique ones. Of course, there is new Governor's daughter (or maybe his wife who knows ) with brilliant design, and a small pirate - a cook. But who needs yet another one Brickbeard? We got him in: Soldiers Fort Brickbeards Bounty Pirate Island (not Loot Island) and in Chess, Tic-tac toe and battlepack I'd prefer this blue-golden jacket guy from creator set. In castle creator we got ordinary knight. Why would we not be given yet another unique guy? xD Ok, thats for sharing advantages and disadvantages. No matter how common minifigs it will have, I'll buy it. I just love the design, the size, and the 2 (3?) unique minifigures. The problem is - I don't have much place left in room to store yet another ship Edited November 20, 2009 by Piterio Quote
Captain M Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 But who needs yet another one Brickbeard? I thought he was the main character. Quote

But most pirates are overused, especially bad with the guy with frown vest/rope/anchor tattoo, good he isn't in this. Edited November 20, 2009 by Fluyt Quote
commodore Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Where did you get it? Did you take the plunge and spend $350 for the one on brick link? It cost me close to €250. And I got it at Brickshop Holland. I was totally surprised that they had it already. And I kind of reacted a little impulsive. But I don't regret it. And for you guys wanting a review, is it okay if I upload a couple of photos soon? Quote
Zorro Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Absolutely! We would love to see some pictures and possibly a review of the set! Quote
MasterHaosis Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 And for you guys wanting a review, is it okay if I upload a couple of photos soon? Of course man! More pictures please! Quote
commodore Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Well, I didn't like the orchan and the brig so I put a simple cot in the captain's cabin and made a magasin out of the brig. This is the governor's daughter. A little different from the gal in brickbeards bounty. The galley now has a little more stores than originally. And this is the whole ship. And since I used up my 100kb of upload space I don't really know how to show the rest of the pictures. Anybody an idea? I tried putting it in another reply but that didn't work. I'll wait a little. Take that photo off and put up another. Just say when. Edited November 22, 2009 by commodore Quote

commodore Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 And the sextant. I think you can only find it in this set. The ship is on my living room table for the moment and always puts a smile on my face when I come home, like lego used to do when I was small. Quote
RampantDingo Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I don't know about any other sets, but the sextant was in MMV. Quote
metalandi Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 The sextant is available in dozens of other sets of the past. Mostly adventurers sets, and in current sets i think it also was available in one or more of the CC style buildings. Quote

Dreamweb Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I can't wait to get it. Too bad I've had some major expenses lately, but I'll still try to find the money to afford it... Especially because this might be the last new Pirate set in a long, long time. Quote
