Sorry to bump this old topic of mine, but I just wanted to update the information from the first post. This year a total of six new printed dresses are added to the twelve portrayed in this topic. Also, some of the original twelve have now been released in additional sets, making them a bit easier to get.

The new dresses of 2010 are:

13. Captain's daughter's light blue dress from the Pirates set 10210 Imperial Flagship.

14. Kingdoms princess' white and red dress from the Kingdoms set 7947 Prison Tower Rescue. (I own currently.)

15. Kingdoms queen's red and gold dress from the 7952 Kingdoms Advent Calendar.

16. The green-skinned witch's black dress from the Collectible Minifigures Series 2. (I own currently.)

19 Bellatrix Lestrange's gothic black dress from the upcoming Harry Potter set 4840 The Burrow.

18. The updated fleshy Professor McGonagall's dark green dress from the upcoming Harry Potter set 4842 Hogwarts Castle (4th version).

This just reminds me how a collector's job is never done.

How about the Collectible Minifig Witch from Series 2? Or does it even count?

Please read my list again. The witch is listed number 16 in the list. I just got it today, too.

How about the maiden's dress in the Kingdoms advent calendar? (The torso is a re-use of the pirates theme, but the skirt looks new.)

That dress is already among the original twelve, since it came with the Medieval Market Village. The one in the Kingdoms Advent Calendar only has a different face.

did you change the heads and hairpieces of the originals? i don't recognize quite a few of them.

Yes, I did. Most of the minifigs that have the dresses aren't princesses, you see.

Okay, I have 3 of the 18 so far. Original witch from Fright Knights, the troll sorceress from Fantasy Era, and the new Lion Knights princess. I also have the princess from 6081 King's Mountain Fortress (1990), but her dress is not a printed piece.

Sandy, if there's going to be Pirates of the Caribbean next year, I imagine there might be some more printed dresses for that?

That's hard to say since we know practically nothing about the theme. But let's hope there are.

I recently bought some of the torso's of #2 & #10's from the Lego shop build a mini figure section. Unfortunately I've had to put them on plain bases :( Everytime the lego shop has thrown me a survey I keep saying make more gowns! But I wonder if being female I'm not enough of their marketing demographic to matter.

I own the 3rd, 5th 6th and 11th, being the Castle fan I am. The first on your list looks to me more like a cloak than a dress, though that's just my opinion. :sweet:

I just purchased the only minifig with the printed dress, the Imperial Flagship captain's daughter, that I'm missing out of the eighteen I've listed in this topic from Bricklink.

So yeah, soon I own all eighteen, and then it's time to take another picture.

Thanks for reminding me... I was counting mine the other day. I'm up to 9 now. (new castle advent calendar, drawbridge defence, skeleton tower, collectible minifigs, king leo's castle). It would be good if we could get the original post updated with all the pics! hint hint

*huh* So many dresses, I love your collection of them! I think I own 2 dresses, the Series 2 Witch and the one in the Kingdoms Advent Calender! I can't wait to see a picture of all 18 of them together.

It's only the new McGonagall dress I miss from the this year. But I'm still 1½ short of the previous ones (Prof. Trelawney and the slope for the statue). I really like Bellatrix's dress, first one for a licensed theme too

but there is the new witch as well now, with the release of series 2 of the collectable minifigures.
