August 17, 201014 yr So, I'm gonna take a guess that we have all been out riding because the last post in here was from April 5th? Page 8 people, I mean I really had to go back! This past weekend was great. I got to hang out and ride with friends I haven't seen in years, partake in the fine refreshments available, and enjoy two days of fantastic sun and riding weather! I haven't been able to ride as much as I want to lately, but just wanted to post this pic from last night. What bike do you have?
August 17, 201014 yr The name Harley Davidson wasn't enough? Just kidding Prateek, I've got a 2003 100th Anniversary V-ROD Custom. I'll start taking more pics as time goes on. Weather gets so messed up here I can usually ride into November. That 140 on the speedo looks good though, doesn't it?
August 17, 201014 yr That 140 on the speedo looks good though, doesn't it? It sure does. Have you ever been even near that speed?
August 17, 201014 yr Author Just got back from 4 days of riding in England, been to the Bulldog Bash. Man I have never seen that much mud in ages, cleaning everything on!
September 5, 201014 yr After a three hour cleaning last weekend, thank God I don't have too much chrome, I took my toy out for a cruise and took a few pics for you guys. Enjoy. The rest can be found in my flickr. 2003 100th Anniversary Custom VRSCA (V-ROD) with Vance & Hines Powershots.
October 2, 201014 yr Well,it Wasatch fun summer, but tonight we haves frost advisory so I'm afraid my summer is over. My bike and snowblower will likely be trading spots in my garage very soon.
October 2, 201014 yr Sorry to hear that Big Cam. I'll shed a tear for you when I go cruising later tonight.
October 3, 201014 yr Sorry to hear that Big Cam. I'll shed a tear for you when I go cruising later tonight. I think this year I may finally get my bike back on the road, and since we've had the first couple of weeks of nice spring weather it could be really soon now :-) I'll think of all you people with winter climates that don't allow riding for the next few months.
October 3, 201014 yr Sorry to hear that Big Cam. I'll shed a tear for you when I go cruising later tonight. You are an evil man.
October 22, 201014 yr I have Suzuki DRZ-400. I love supermoto. Very good, any pictures of the beauty? You'll find in this thread it doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride. I'm a bit of a supermoto fan myself.
October 22, 201014 yr My new dreambike: I might get one if I feel like getting an M class license. linky no worky. but judging from the URL it's a Can Am.
October 22, 201014 yr linky no worky. but judging from the URL it's a Can Am. How does it not work? It works for me Well, here's another picture If this doesn't work, I think there's something wrong with your browser or computer.
October 22, 201014 yr How does it not work? It works for me Well, here's another picture CUT IMAGE If this doesn't work, I think there's something wrong with your browser or computer. Yup, that one worked, ans it's exaclty what I thought it was. I hate to break it to you but that's not a motorcycle, it's a trike. I had to say it. I think they are cool, but I would never want one, I think it would take the fun out of riding. That's just me though.
October 26, 201014 yr Wow i couldn't have imagined that so many lego fans were biker too or liked it !! Here's my ex... I had to break up with her to come here !! But i'm waiting the day i'll be able to buy an other one !! I miss her so much :cry_sad: I wanted to post a vidéo of it but unfortunately i don't know how VoilÃ
October 26, 201014 yr Looks like fun, hopefully a bike can be in your near future. As for me, we have snow scheduled for tomorrow and its raining now. I might try to get it washed before I put it away.
November 4, 201014 yr Can I join the club now? I'll post better photos after. It's a CBR-125R; not powerful I know but exciting enough for someone with no experience!
November 4, 201014 yr Can I join the club? Image snip* I'll post better photos after. It's a CBR-125R; not powerful I know but exciting enough for someone with no experience! As the Guy officially not in charge. Of the motorcycle tag, of course you can! I'm actually jealous of your cbr-125. In the US bikes that small were not available until just a year or two ago. I'd lobe a 125 for putting around on and also for getting great gas mileage. My bike may go fast but I can barely pull 40miles per gallon. Welcome aboard, and keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.
November 4, 201014 yr Looks like someone already got you hooked up with the moto tag. What will Shadows say when he sees your ghost tag gone already.
November 4, 201014 yr CBR125 is a great learner bike. it is very narrow, so I didn't have that secured feeling couple times when I rode it. Have fun with it!
November 4, 201014 yr Can I join the club now? I'll post better photos after. It's a CBR-125R; not powerful I know but exciting enough for someone with no experience! Oh yeah you can join. It may not be as fast in a straight line as bigger bikes, but it's plenty powerful enough to get you killed. I assume NSW has a learners course like Vic which is partly designed to scare the appropriate level of respect into you. The first time you completely megabluck up and come off will also give you a large amount of respect, but if you have the right attitude you may never need to learn in that way, or if you are a least tending in the right direction you'll be at a low enough speed to avoid too serious an injury. If this sounds a bit paranoid it's not un-intentional. I've come off my bike once when it was moving, it was 3 weeks after getting my P plates, and was all my own fault, mostly due to inexperience. Luckily I was able to wash off a lot of speed before I came off, but it still hurt, scared me, and wrecked an $800 helmet. I've been very cautious since but have ridden solidly almost every day for about ten years without incident. In fact I've been told several times I ride like a girl. One of the people who told me that no longer rides at all, and walks with a limp, and has restricted movement in his shoulder and spine. He was pretty confident his rally driving skills and fast reactions would keep him out of trouble. His poor judgement and risk assessment didn't. He was an aggressive car driver, and that doesn't translate well to motorbike riding. </ concerned fatherly tone> Have fun on your new toy. I try and approach all my riding from a point of view of I'm in no hurry to get to the end of my journey because I'm enjoying the ride, so I can just sit back and avoid all the stressed car drivers, and if it takes a bit longer, that's a bit more enjoyment. Keep the sticky side down. ETA: oh and watch where you put your feet when you're holding up your bike (looking at the mud in the picture) there's nothing more embarrassing than falling over at the lights because your big motorbike boots have no grip in oil patches. Well there is one thing and thats falling off your bike and knocking it over while parked outside a cafe with your motorbike friends. Not that I would know anything about either of those events Edited November 4, 201014 yr by peterab
