This is probably going to sound really ridiculous but... have you ever had nightmares involving Lego bricks?

Years ago, while in my dark ages and just after the shocking news that all my old childhood Lego had left home for charity, I started having Lego nightmares on a weekly basis. Usually the nightmares involved one of these three scenarios:

a) finding Lego bricks in an unlikely place (e.g. behind garden plants, in the dishwasher, or even my own pockets), collecting a large amount of them and then losing them again

b) buying a great unseen-before set, then discovering that it is something horrible (e.g. made of paper or jelly) or that in the rush I took the wrong one from the shelf

c) being in a shop with countless boxes and feeling the irresistible urge to steal some

Getting out of my dark ages and starting to buy new sets actually helped me got rid of the nightmares, but once in a while I still have one of them... Maybe I need a shrink

(b) has happened to me.

I saw all these discontinued castle sets and grabbed them all.

However, once I opened the boxes they were empty with nothing inside.

Thats the only nightmare concerning Lego I have had.

Ok, sorry... I searched for "nightmare" but not "dream", thinking that I would get hundreds of results like "what's your dream set".

I have had several dreams involving Lego but never had a nightmare. I had built a MOC out of a nightmare though:

once I had a dream where I found all these 100 usd lego sets but then someone else came and took them....then i fell into a pit of lava..

I can't remember exactly anymore... but I once had a dream around 2007-2008 that I was standing in a store and the first thing I saw was new Rock Raider sets appearing on the shelves, and the minifigs had flesh heads and hands, they were copies of the old RR sets. I bought some but then I saw something horrible, that LEGO minifigs in 2010 would become very strange, no normal colors and all clip-handed which could open and close and every single piece had a hole in it. The pieces were mostly turqoise now and there were only sets with strange vehicles...

I also had the worst nightmare ever, seeing me using m3g4bl0ks in a MOC!!!

How horrible!

(wish I could ALWAYS remember dreams/nightmares, my creativity would grow as I would get ideas on stuff to build out of it...

oh well, I only remember them sometimes..)

I have had several dreams a long time ago, with some being about me getting heaps of sets delivered, and then waking up disappointed realizing it was just a dream...

Another one was similair, but then with sets that don't exist... this one happened a veeeeeeeeery long time ago.

I got heaps of LEGO Racers sets but they were from the first game which I played alot back then, including the "bosses" of LEGO Racers with their cars. (e.g. Captain Redbeard and car, Johnny Thunder and car, and alot more...)

Aawww especially the 'falling in a pit of lava' part...

And lol @ general magma, using mega blocks. Oh my that must have been hard for you when you woke up.

Where did you buy them?

Did you check if they where opened already?

And BTW you need to hear the bricks when your walking with them.

Anyway, once I was at the "Zeelandhallen" for some kind of lego thing.

Anyway there was a little shop there from "A-Tembo"(Lego internet shop) But some random german dude stole all the sets away I wanted, also one I had in my hands!!!! (I only speak of the ONE German there on that location who did it!, just to make sure nobody gets angry on me.)

Not long ago I dreamt that the new pig mould in the tractor and trailer set.... Had plates going through it!! Like the cow or horse but going right through.

About two days ago I dreamt I had all the unreleased sets.

Most of my dreams involve wandering around Wal Mart looking for the Lego isle... but the Wal Mart of nightmares is huge and scary and dimly lit and I'm usually the only person in there. Sometimes I find rare sets/sets that don't actually exist on the rare occasions I find the isle, but then I have to find the checkout... and on the rare occasions I find the checkout, eventually I wake up and I don't actually have the sets. ;_;

So now I hate dreaming. Because they're always like this. >_<

Oddly enough, C), and last night too. Too much turkey! (Its Canadian Thanksgiving...)

Its always a bit of a disappointment to wake up after one of these dreams, eh?

...Finding a set that I want(mixed up with dream werid things),then getting it, only to wake up to find out that is was just a dream. That happens with other dreams too.

I once dreamt that I could have any LEGO sets I wanted, but when I brought them home I woke up.

My hair was craazy that morning...must have been stressful for me.

I did have one. It was about Eurobricks though. I was in the Chamber when it happened. I was in a very dark room with a dim lantern. I was looking at a map, there was a train going across it. Then I turned aroung to see KimT in a black cloak with the hood up with blood on his face. It thought it was some kind of human sacrifice. His face was also very disturbing. Considering the circumstances I was scared. If he was in that red sweater without the blood I might have beat the crap out of him. I'm not calling KimT a wimp. We'd probably be evenly matched. No, I'm not trying to brag either. That's my screwed up story. My Lego dreams don't bother me as much. They make me fell disoriented.

I know, I know. You guys find my stories so interesting. Why? Remember that topic (that I can't find) where we were sharing stories when we corrected kids. Yuo guys found my 7666 story so funny. I'm not that interesting.

Almost all of my Lego related nightmares are the same: In one moment I have numerous rare and expensive bricks which I need (and cant afford them right now), and all happy I wake up, and then comes to me that it was a dream...

I have had a few dreams of LEGO for sure. The most common one is that I dream of new Star Wars sets to be released.

Just remembering one set now. It was a Jabbas palace set ala "Jabbas Palace" and "Jabbas Prize".

The figs was a molded Han in carbonite, Chewie and Leia as Boussh. Very disappointed when I woke up.
