I voted 10199 Winter Toy Shop. Lots of children, and a good variety of men and woman. Lots of acessories, too. The only con was the light-up brick.

*Ducks behind wall* Don't chuck the blocks just yet... :classic: Listen.

I think 7641 City Corner is truly overrated for what it is---I mean that bus stop is horrible, minifigures can't sit in it, so what is the point? And also, why have a skate "shop" without a checkout area?

Not to mention the walls are made of huge panels on both buildings, which limits building potential. And, no offense, but the pizza restaurant's interior could be a bit more on the detailed side. I mean, the attic was empty and we have cups but no drink dispensers? Go figure!

The bus would be good, except for the fact that it has house doors.

I think everyone went overboard on this set just because it was the first real civilian City set we have seen in awhile.... :sceptic:

Ooh, tricky!

I fell in love with the newish Lego vehicle design (SNOT front end and wheel arches) with the Ambulance a couple of years ago, and this year has seen a plethora of great vehicles all with slight variations on this theme. So I've bought most of the more affordable vehicle-related sets this year.

Going only on the sets I have, I've made a shortlist:

7641 City Corner ( that windscreen)

7747 Wind Turbine - the source of my avatar, in case you hadn't noticed.

7639 Camper ( the Legobabe - what's she doing with Surf-dude loser???)

7635 Horse Trailer with 4WD - I think the 4WD is superbly realistic yet a simple build and an instant design classic. Shame rider-girl has no hair though.

Overall, I think the Horse Trailer gets my vote. :classic:

K.D, thanks for doing up this vote once more.

Likewise, I agreed that we shouldn't place those 5-digit numbers into voting consideration, since its much better to group them as exclusives instead of regular City sets. Then again, we couldn't do anything to amend this poll as it will ruin the entire voting result. However, I do understand your viewpoint, so as far as it goes, to take the poll results into consideration, we should continue with it.

I have owned almost everything above, except for the selected few construction sets that appear to be huge which I have left out of my purchase. I am going to pinpoint my favourite without including the Winter Toyshop and Emerald Express. Judging from the list, I love sets that is unique and happened to be innovative and uncommon unlike regular range such as Fire and Police.

Therefore, these are some of my favourite sets, such as the Farm which offer cows, tractor and shed to harvest crops. The construction site offering loads of nice construction vehicle especially the low loader and the small little shophouse. However, the construction crane is not very impressive and it appear to be weak, compared to the XXL Mobile Crane which I hope to own one day.

The helicopter transporter and wind turbine transport, are one of the kind transport vehicles that I adore the most, with the doors by the side carrying different cargos and good assortment of minifigs and companion vehicles added by the side sure makes these set wonderful.

Then, move onto the 4WD horse trailer and Camper, which are some great civillian vehicles to be added. I just love the way how these designs came about, that wow us all. Not to forget the long awaited battlepack, I meant civilian battlepack. Although its not the best looking one with those signs filling with stickers and more policemen, but there are some nifty good stuff such as the female citizen, postman and bench.

Last but not least, the one that steal my overall vote, shall be the overrated City Corner. Yes, I am bias, because there is a yellow top bus, that can carry passengers which is TLG very first design, adding the bicycle repair shop and pizza resturant, and a mini bus stop by the side filled with lots of great civillians including a child on its skateboard. This set simply blew my mind away and its one of the few sets that I have actually bought multiple, for the reason to expand my bus fleet and shop fronts.

These are my thoughts!

Well, if the Emerald Night should not be counted since it's an exclusive, then I would vote for the City Corner. It looks somehow like a non-exclusive version of Town Plan: some buildings, vehicles and minifigs, with great playability. I don't own it (yet), but after I read some reviews it's likely I will buy it.
