asterix Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Howdi Folks, Was a big fan of lego when I was a kid, sadly (for me) my large collection was donated to charity (happily for them) by my mother. Right now I'm looking for a tough challenge to get back into it. Might sound arrogant but I'd like a set to keep me occupied for hours. Was thinking of the batmobile 7784 or truck 8258. Any suggestions? Quote
Milan Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Hi there. Welcome. Well, it depend what you like more: Technic building with lots of gears (8258), or simpler, brick building (7784). Here are some reviews about those two sets: 8258: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32170 7784: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...ic=28782&hl Quote
Big Cam Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 If you want to be kept busy for hours get a large Star Wars set like the New Venator, if it's anything like the Star Destroyer, that'll take a few hours. Quote
Rick Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 How about Modular Buildings? 10182 Cafe Corner 10185 Green Grocer 10197 Fire Brigade ... and welcome! Quote
asterix Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Thanks for the replies folks, I'm torn between the crane truck set and the batmobile still. I think it has to be one of those or possibly another technic set as I live with my girlfriend, our apartment is quite small so dont think she'd appreciate a small lego town sprouting up in a corner (- we all know it wouldn't stop with one building!). At least with the batmobile it could be left out on display and the truck as well. Got some time off work now so that's the main reason I want a real challenge - something to keep me occupied. Quote
asterix Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 I bought the batmobile yesterday so going to try start it later on..... if my hangover permits! Quote
