I bet younger girls may like this line, but its rather expensive.

I am not younger and I like it. It isn't in my budget (I'd rather build with my lego than wear it!), but I like it.

That's insanely overpriced.

One could get 2 keychains for some 10USD and then just shop a silver earring part in a regular hobby store for some 3-5 USD and voilá, you've saved a lot of bucks.

The bracelet and necklace are also quite simple to make yourself.

A rip-off.

It even says "Made from new and used LEGO"

What the.... *huh*

My sister makes it cheaper. If anything, they should only cost as much as the Lego parts and a fraction of the cost of the clasps/hooks/studs, plus a tiney add on for profit. Honestly, my sister could make me a pair of earrings right now. (If I'd let her  ).

I guess it costs that much for some reason...

That's so tacky...

And at ridiculous prices too! I agree with KimT and Peppermint M, you could make your own for very little. I wonder how they're staying in business?

EDIT: Never mind, they make other stuff too.

Wow those prices are high. I mean did you see the black and white neclace?

My wife got into a Halloween mood and added LEGO bat earrings to her etsy store.

While these are actually the most aesthetically pleasing peices of jewelry I have seen made from LEGO. I am actually torn between thinking these are really cute and knowing they are just ruined overpriced LEGO that I can't play with. I am a big fan of unique and artistic clothing and accessories and own a lot of really unique items, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy any of these items. A local art consignment store in my neighborhood sells art made of recycled items and they had a pair of 1x2 plates (a hole drilled in them of course) with sterling silver fishhook earring hooks attached and priced them at $25 USD. :sceptic: I hope this particular designer does well and the peices are creative, but I'm not a fan.

It's not like these are extremely hard to make*, so I bet any Lego fan could look at the pictures, order the required parts of Bricklink, drill a few holes, add some metal or string, and be done for a fraction of the price. Hard to sustain business model in my view...

* Of course it requires a creative mind to turn Lego into jewelry, but the actual 'production' isn't that hard, and the ideas are virtually impossible to 'protect'.
