Dennis Bosman Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 (edited) Hello, I think I'm not unfarmilliair in the world of LEGOs but I just registered myself to this forum. My name is Dennis Bosman, 32 years old and never stopped building with LEGOs since I was born. Dark ages? Never heard of it. My main field is building scale models of trucks and machinery on scale 1:13. Allthough I haven't built a lot this year I just started a few new projects. It is one of my biggest hobbies and it will still be. You can lots of my models on my own website: www.dennisbosman.nl While surfing on the internet I saw lots of nice new MOCs and especially the ones with PF. However my models are far too big and also too heavy to motorize with PF I have some plans to build one on a smaller scale as well. I have quite some 1:13 models right now so why not trying to do something different? As a member of Lowlug I participate on events about once a year but I also attend events in the field of heavy haulage which is my main field. I've seen some nice models on BS of members of this forum I just discovered. So I think this will be a nice extension of my LEGO hobby and to get in touch with other AFOLs. Best regards Dennis Bosman Edited October 17, 2009 by Dennis Bosman Quote
Big Cam Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Wow, you have some impresive truck models. They resemble the real thing so well. Happy to hear you never stopped building, this is a great community, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Quote
Milan Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Welcome, Dennis! Not unfamiliar in the world of Lego? You are the most popular builder of trucks and construction equipment. I enjoy reading your website, especially first time, when I saw Liebherr LG crane and Liebherr Tracked Excavator. Those two machines were simple ingenious... Your website was responsible for getting me back to the Lego world! My PF motorized 1/13 Scania Crane was purely inspired by your work. Thank you for that. Quote

Dennis Bosman Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Thanks for the compliments and the welcome It's not the only forum I visit but I will try to put down some info about my work in progress here. At this moment I'm working on more MOCs. One is the heavy haulage truck of which the unit is completed already. The low loader needs some more time; I'm running out of blue pieces and the previous Scania of the same company I will definately not break off. Two other projects are vintage trucks of which one truck is ready as well but also the trailer is still missing. Now I'm rebuilding one of the models on my website which I built in the second half of the nineties. The real thing doesn't exist anymore because the driver had an accident. But I like the model very much so I'm rebuilding it on todays standard, new pieces and the knowledge I built up over the years. Which one it will be? I will let you know when the first part is ready. It's planned to be finished in April next year when I will present it on a model show. Quote
