Optimus Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Wow, this is pretty awesome and I've never seen anything like this before. It must have been incredibly complicated to figure out how to do that. Quote
Wout Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Wow, That's a great find. It looks terriffic. Quote
Milan Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I do not believe it. Just how much time that guy did invested in this superb creation to work it out like that!!! This must be the most interesting creation I have ever seen! Congrats to that guy! Wow, wow, wow! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Dang. No way I could ever do this, no matter what. Quote
Forresto Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Wu. . . . . wuh that is. . . .Beautiful . How is that even possible? Quote
prateek Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 (edited) Woah. That must've taken an eternity to figure out how to build. Here's the video: Edited October 19, 2009 by prateek Quote
BlueBard Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 This guy is a real genius designer! The most original MOC I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 That is pretty badass - without a doubt one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. *Emailed to a couple people - they loved it too! Quote
Batbrick Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 That's crazy! Easily one of the best Lego creations I've ever seen! If it were just the "box" I still would've thought it brilliant, but that is just taken to a ridiculously awesome level. The fact that it still manages to be a complex and well made model just tops it off! Batbrick Away! Quote
Svelte Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Easily one of the most impressive MOCs I've ever seen! A work of genius! Thanks for sharing! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Thank you for sharing what is one of the most unique MOCs I have ever seen! This is really "thinking outside the square, or box if you will" Just amazing. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 The box itself is really nice and the model inside it is better than anything i could make but he takes all this to the next level by making so the beautiful model can fold and fit inside the box, who ever made this is brilliant. Quote
dynamic_e Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Check out his other videos. Awesome. My wife isn't a lego fan and thought it was awesome. Check out his other videos. Awesome. My wife isn't a lego fan and thought it was awesome. Quote
frogstudio Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 If I were a head in TLC, I would give this gy a job right now!!! Simply INCREDIBLE. Congrats to the author!!!! Quote
ILikePi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) Wow, that is one of the most original MOCs I have ever seen! The box itself is well-designed already, but the fact that it opens into a set just puts the icing on the cake! I would love it if the maker would post more pics and a detailed explanation of the construction that allows the set to fold and unfold, but unfortunately it seems that he does not speak much English. Thanks for sharing! Edited October 20, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
chris_austin Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) I couldn't believe this when I saw it. Starts as a brick-built LEGO set box and ends up as a temple playset! Who would have thought that it was even possible? This guy, Talapz (YouTube username) has also made a very intricate sphere. EDIT: Sorry that this has been posted before, I did search before posting and even searching now, niether topic comes up. I searched using'pop' and '*pop*' - where am I going wrong? Zorbas Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 That's incredible!! You just can't trust your eyes when you see it in the first place! Amazing creation and excellent find chris_austin! Quote
Izzy Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Oh my GOODNESS!!! That is the most incredible feat of Lego engineering I have ever been so lucky to set my eyes upon. That completely astounded me. How??? How did he do it? We need a new emoticon of a head exploding with wonder. He is my new hero! Quote
Jipay Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Oh My God ! That is insane ! Not only the concept is exceptionnal, but the model is really good ! Quote
Thor Lund Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I'm with Jipay on that one. For me just making such a building on its own would be a feat, but to think he has engineered it to fold into its own box... no words (nor fitting icon). Quote
Topsy Cret Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Ur.... Wow? Seriously, that is very impressive. A perfect example proving that the LEGO medium can accomplish anything. Masterful. Although you say "LEGO set"-do you mean an official set due to be released by TLC? Quote
Sandy Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Although you say "LEGO set"-do you mean an official set due to be released by TLC? Don't be daft! Besides, he said "LEGO set box", meaning how the guy in the video made the MOC look like an official box of a set, except made out of LEGO. Quote
Dadster Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Wow. Just...wow. I'm going to try and share this with as many people as possible. Thanks for finding this and letting us know about it! Quote
