pe668 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) Ghost Train Entry I made a carnival ride Ghost Train which uses a technic 9volt motor to turn the entire MOC. The train itself is fixed to the base so you can see all the rooms of the ride as it rotates. Here's some more pictues. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 I also made a Brickfilm so you can see it in action. WesternOutlaw Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Fantastic PE! I loved the video. Great sounds/special effects (like the lightning). This is very enjoyable to watch. This reminds me of another Ghost Train carnival ride I saw last year. Great design and interesting to have the structure itself turn. Is this an entry for the Ghost Train Building Challenge? Not quite a traditional train, but since there's no rules to get in the way of creativity, I think it will work just fine. This deserves a little "front-page" acknowledgment. Quote
Selander Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 FANTASTIC ! really nice video - good work ! thanks for sharing ! ;-) Quote
General Armendariz Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Just saw the video, Hilarious! Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Good job mate, you really do come up with some awesome ideas with the brick. When you first told me about it I was a little unsure how it would turn out, but I'm pleasantly suprised. Top work pe668! Quote
aawsum Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 very very cool video I really like your idea about turning the entire MOC and leaving the train fixed to its base. Nicely done. Quote
Rick Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Really original take on the contest theme. And that video is hilarious and very well done: I really like the facial expressions used. Quote
MetroiD Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Brilliant! I love how the white train just stands out among all those black elements. As to the technical brainstorming that has gone into this - kudos for that, it must have been a lot of work but the end result is really... shocking Quote
pe668 Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 "I liked the film but it just wasn't scary enough" - Anonymous I hear you. It started to build suspense but fell flat, only the main character got scared, not the viewer. Keep in mind this is a family film (rated-G) but I made a new ending. New and improved, now with more scary bits. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hahaha, excellent work there! Very funny ending, I didn't see it coming. Perhaps they could have gone around one more time though? But great job. Quote
