Hi all

Here at EuroBricks.com its we have regular meetings with Jake from the Lego company. Together with other websites.

So if there is anything you think we should ask to Jake, then post your questions here. Then we will ask those, but we reserve the right to pick up the questions we will ask :)

You can ask any question, as long as it's about Lego. Lego System, Bionicle, Duplo etc.. But remember Jake cannot answer every questions, mostly questions about the future releases.

So start Posting *satis*

EDIT by ApophisV: We will collect all your questions here:

AFOLs:

- It seems that LEGO is giving the AFOL community a lot more attention. What made this happen? And what do you expect from this efford?

Brickmaster:

- IF it succeeds in the states, when will it be available in europe?

- Will it be available in every country?

- If no, in which / which not?

General questions:

- What parameters are used to choose a legend? And will these always be S@H exclucives?

- Does Lego use clear (insert Lego plastic name here) pices now to make their parts?

- Does TLC think they are going to have a good year in term of financial health ?

- If yes, do they think the licences help?

- If yes, are you still going to stop the licences?

Legends:

- If there are any more legends sets released in the classic castle line, would they come in old or new grey?

- What parameters are used to choose a legend? And will these always be S@H exclucives?

S@H:

- Will there EVER be a 'BL like' ordering system on S@H?

World City:

- Why is there no fire station, but we have fire boats?

- Why did they choose to release the Legend Air Port set instead of making a new one?

- Has Lego decided to continue the world city line or replace it by Legend town?

- Will those two cohabitate?

- Aren't Lego people afraid about the fat that the two different look can't live together in a city?

Ok, I guess this is slightly about future releases but it has been on my mind for a while.

If there are any more legends sets released in the classic castle line, would they come in old or new grey?

Jon.

Let the new grey questions begin!

:)

I have no questions besides the fact of Why isn't there a Fire Station? Which will probably come out next year, so he probably can't answer that. But maybe, Why are there fire boats and no fire station? Why did they choose to release the Legend Air Port set instead of making a new one?

Here is a common one:

1. It seems that LEGO is giving the AFOL community a lot more attention. What made this happen?

1a. And what do you expect from this efford?

And the really hard one:

Give us the name of the person that decided for new grey.

On second thoughts forget this one *devil*

2. What parameters are used to choose a legend? And will these always be S@H exclucives?

Since Jake can't answer on new products :$

3. Are new themes on the way? And what is it? :oD

4. Will there EVER be a 'BL like' ordering system on S@H?

I like your forth question there, I never thought about that, but there has been rumours of that happening.

They might as well do it, if you are missing a pice they send it to you for free most of the time anyways, so they do have some system up and running.

Hi :)

Please discuss in an other topic, this is for Questions only.

Or els it can be hard for me to see whats what ;)

I thought of another..

There were rumours to why the color change, the one that got me is that Lego uses clear plastic pits things now. I never got a real answer.

So, hopefully someone will word this better, Does Lego use clear (insert Lego plastic name here) pices now to make their parts?

And you can compine these questions...

- Why isn't there a Fire Station?

- Why are there fire boats and no fire station?

So it's like "Why is there no fire station, but we have fire boats?" Or something like that.

I have one question. Does TLC think they are going to have a good year in term of financial health ?

Another one is : if yes, do they think the licences help ?

If yes, are you still going to stop the licences ?

My next question will join a little bit David's one about the airport. Has Lego decided to continue the world city line or replace it by Legend town ? Will those two cohabitate ? Aren't Lego people afraid about the fat that the two different look can't live together in a city ?

Okay, here is a question about brickmaster:

IF it succeeds in the states, when will it be available in europe?

Will it be available in every country?

If no, in which / which not?

Hi All

Today the 2 october I have a meeting, and ill ask your questions

But some of them I cant ask, because I know there will be no anserw.

Remember Jake cant comment on all things, and upcomming sets.

I have taken the liberty to give an anserw of some of the questions.

(In Red)

The question I can not ask.

(Is in Blue)

And at last the ones ill ask.

(Is in Green)

- If no, in which / which not?

- If there are any more legends sets released in the classic castle line, would they come in old or new grey?

Hi all

Here are the reply's from Jake:

> Brickmaster:

> - IF it succeeds in the states, will it be available in europe?

As stated in all the original announcements... yes. Doing just the US

(not even North America, but just the States) is a trial run.

> General questions:

> Does Lego use clear (insert Lego plastic name here) pices now to make

> their parts?

Per my LUGNET post about this, no.

> - Does TLC think they are going to have a good year in term of

> financial health ?

We hope! :)

> - If yes, do they think the licences help?

Good sales are good sales. We hope all our products sell well, and have

chosen activities and products that we think are the best options for

making money. That applies to every year.

> S@H:

> - Will there EVER be a 'BL like' ordering system on S@H?

That sounds like a future plans question....

I will say one thing: LEGO Factory.

> World City:

> Why did they choose to release the Legend Air Port set instead of

> making a new one?

Because we have an ongoing Legends program. We didn't say "should we

release a legend airport or create a new one"

Posted

Dumbest answer ever.....

If yes, do they think the licences help?

Good sales are good sales. We hope all our products sell well, and have

chosen activities and products that we think are the best options for

making money. That applies to every year.

Except if you have to pay big bucks to get the rights to do it, your "good sells" might not really be that good because you won't be making a lot.

Best answer ever.....

S@H:

- Will there EVER be a 'BL like' ordering system on S@H?

That sounds like a future plans question....

I will say one thing: LEGO Factory.

Didn't he come out a few years ago taking about a program that Lego would let people design a set online and then Lego would ship all the pieces to it? That's what this sounds like.

I still want a new airport. :(

Yes, The Lego Factory was about you designing a project and then receiving it right to your door.

I agree on the dumbest answer ever. This is a typical politicaly correct answer. But an answer is always good to hear.

It is funny to analyse this answer. This implies he knows some stuff are selling less than other.

I'm just curious to see results of a year without any star wars, any spiderman and any potter movie out. But wait ! This was last year ! :|

WAUW. What an answer.

This is a "BIG YES - WE ARE PLANNING THIS!" :oD

Or am I to optimistic?

Com'on Jake. I will help ;)

That sounds great! I would love to be able to do that, although it would cost ALOT to make and order something I would guess.

This seems similar to the train thing they had/(still have?) going. You designed a train with a certain number of carriages and engines etc.. then you ordered it, again it was very expensive.

But who knows, this new Lego Factory could be great, I hope we hear more about it.

Jon.

Those were sets through and Train sets cost a lot. This thing was/is supposed to be that you design the thing in like a CAD prgram and they would send you it.

Maybe this is what the software of masterstuff is all about

It's more like a mini form.

That software lets you design designs and I think print the thing out and the 180 pices are so you can biuld with it.
