Carbohydrates Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Yellow and gray sounds like a smart combo. An aggressively bright color like yellow doesn't really match the dark/sand shades the CC buildings have been using so far, but gray will hopefully defuse it nicely. Quote
Svelte Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I'm not sure what you mean in regard to 10182 & 10211 corner house.10182 is Cafe Corner? Is there also a new Corner House? I think he means that 10182 and 10211 are both corner buildings (rather than hosues per se). 10211 will be a store. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I think he means that 10182 and 10211 are both corner buildings (rather than hosues per se). 10211 will be a store. Thanks for clarifying Svelte. I'm not sure why I couldn't figure this one out. Quote
Shadows Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Great news, we need more stores and this sound like it will be grand! I hope it includes a chandelier! Quote
blueandwhite Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Glad to see we're finally getting a second corner building. I'm not sure about the colour scheme (yellow, black and grey sounds a bit dull) but I'm sure it will look stellar when it's finally revealed. It's nice that we're not getting a police station or some other typical town fare. The fire station was wonderful, but I really like having non-descript small town shops and buildings. Kudos to LEGO for keeping the modular city sets real. Quote
Inconspicuous Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Excellent news, thanks for update legomilk! I must admit, when I plan on what sets I'll buy next year, I feel quite ridiculous. However, this sounds like a must have. I'm already one behind on these Modulars, and with the Imperial Flagship, and my plans to build buy a Death Star, my wallet will never be the same! This is definitely good news, but I must admit, I'm a little disappointed with the description. I was really hoping for a school, office, or library, but I guess a shopping center would be fine. I'm not sure about the color scheme, but only pictures could really tell. I would love to see a new shade of yellow (light? School Bus?) that could benefit MOCers greatly. Only time will tell, but I'm looking forward to this. Quote
squidman85 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I so like modular houses!I think this will be great too,but andyway i don't have so much money . Quote

I was really hoping for a school, office, or library, but I guess a shopping center would be fine. Don't be too sceptical. Google image search Harrods for what a mere 'shopping center' could look like. I doubt this is going to be a mere shop. This will be the KING of shops. I'm going to be so hanging out for pictures for the next two months. Quote
Rick Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Maybe the 'yellow' that legomilk is refering to is actually tan? Cafe Corner didn't include too much tan, only the little tower is fully tan, so strictly we don't have a tan building yet. Quote
MetroiD Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Can't wait! I was planning on getting the Medieval Market and the Emerald Night and then the Fire Brigade by summer 2010, which I thought would leave me just about enough time to save up for this one... Once again, TLC are planning to release a killer set before anybody had expected it (ot at least I didn't). With that AND the Imperial Flagship hitting the shelves next year, it will definitely be a bad year for my wallet too... Does anybody know whether the 10187 Volkswagen Beetle or the 10193 Medieval Market are about to be stopped anytime soon? I have to get these, but with this vast amount of new exclusives I want to buy, I don't know whether I will be able to... Quote
brickzone Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Sounds interesting! A department store perhaps? Certainly some of those are in ornate buildings in European cities! Hopefully I'll have money by next March! Quote

I imagine 10187 will go first - it may even be discounted at S@H since it never seems to have been a big seller compared to other Exclusives. 10193 should be around at least for another 12 months. Quote
MetroiD Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 That's good news, thanks Svelte! I guess I'll just wait for the Beetle to get a discount then In the meantime - this 10211 Store is obviously going to be another 32x32 structure, so do you guys think there'll be another Modular Factory set released later on next year? I'd be ecstatic if LEGO were to release another Modular or Train Factory set, although I'm pretty sure the latter won't be happening anytime soon... Quote

Hope we get the pictures soon. I did order Cafe Corner and Green Grocer yesterday and i'm very happy that Lego is making more modulars! Quote

Jipay Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I doubt we'll see any picture for now I do hope to get that one after the (from my point of view) disappointing firefighters building. Let's pray they're not making it 300€. Quote

Let's pray they're not making it 300€. Ehm, it's in the opening post that it will be €150 (for Germany, but I assume France get more or less the same prices as Germany). How long in advance of the September release date was 10197 Fire Brigade officially announced by TLG? Quote

cottonwood Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Sounds exciting! My wallet won't stand for this though, between Green Grocer (which I must get), 10210, and my other hobbies! Good price, btw Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 This is my first reply ever on eurobricks, so here I go. I feel that this store would be either an old world 1900's department store or a simple five and dime store. Why I say this is that CC, GG and FB are 1900 to 1930 style buildings. I don't think it will be a modern style like some have said. Do anybody else feel the same ? Quote

kris kelvin Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 colorwindows go black. and gray and yellow bricks It looks strange but very interesting. I can`t wait to see the photos. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Looks like I might be pretty close to the mark. I guess said store could also be turned into a bank or even a police station, both old school 1930's. Quote
