Follows Closely Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Are there any photo's available yet? LEGO is doing a great job keeping this under wraps, dang them! Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I have photos, but I am not allowed to reveal them. Please don't ask for them. Quote
MetroiD Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) I have photos, but I am not allowed to reveal them. Please don't ask for them. Then why post at all? To make sure we've seen your resized sig? We're aware of it, don't worry! P.S.: It's like a good meal that's cooking in the kitchen - I know it's going to turn out great and I know I'm going to enjoy it immensely, so I don't really care whether I see/taste it in a minute or in a few hours. Salivating or not, at the end of the day, I'll be going to bed happy and I won't have to worry whether it's going to be good Edited January 12, 2010 by TheOtters Quote
danim Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 may I ask when you can reveal the pics or does anyone know the release date Quote
Whittleberry Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I have photos, but I am not allowed to reveal them. Please don't ask for them. How about this: you DON'T have any photos at all, but you just want attention? Anyway, what's so good about photos? All they mean is that people waste way too much time salivating over them and guessing prices, and judging them before they've actually seen the sets properly. Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 may I ask when you can reveal the pics or does anyone know the release date March. How about this: you DON'T have any photos at all, but you just want attention? Actually, I do have photos and no I didn't want attention. I was announcing it so people could ask about would it looks like, what does include, etc. I was just trying to be helpful! Quote

MetroiD Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 So why don't you tell us what you can? Because we need to behave like good kids and start asking all the right questions, otherwise we won't be getting any lollipops. How about this: you DON'T have any photos at all, but you just want attention?Anyway, what's so good about photos? All they mean is that people waste way too much time salivating over them and guessing prices, and judging them before they've actually seen the sets properly. Couldn't agree more on the points you've made there mate. Quote

I was announcing it so people could ask about would it looks like, what does include, etc. I was just trying to be helpful! OK then, can you tell us anything about the Emporium you haven't learned from legomilk's information? Can you describe the building? Keep in mind that you might look stupid when photos actually emerge that contrast with the information you post. Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) So why don't you tell us what you can? Well, there is 4 minifigures: A shopper (female), Ice Cream seller/Department store clerk (female), Business man, and child (male) buying ice cream. There is an ice cream stand on the sidewalk, and the child has a scooter that looks like this (except it is 4-wheeled): It has a revolving door and flowers near the entrance in pots. Their is also a mailbox and streetlamp. The tiling near the entrance is multi-colored and is in deep shades (navy blue, tan, bley). There is flags (4, 2 on each pole) potruding from the building. The building is tan in color. Above the revolving door there is the words "SHOP" in yellow bricks. The windows have fashion dummies in them. The roof is very nicely detailed with a billboard with a 3D present (made out of bricks) and a minifigure head that is excited (not a real minifigure head, it is much bigger made out of yellow bricks) with an excited expression. The billboard has lights in front of it (non-lighting up kind) to "light" it up. The bottom floor has a detailed department store interior. Edited January 12, 2010 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Svelte Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Keep on topic! Legoliner, you really should think before you post However, that doesn't mean others can trade veiled insults with you. I think we're all anxious for more information, but we are at the whim of the LEGO gods, who are not always merciful I used to be the first to want pics, but over the last year or so I have come to appreciate the release of multiple hi-res shots of these beauties (such as for the MMV or the Flagship) rather than leaked tiny thumbnails where you have to squint to see anything and then 5 people report that they can tell from the dodgy pic the exact piece count, number of figs, and part selection used Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) I posted information above. Have fun reading it... Edited January 12, 2010 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Svelte Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Legoliner, since the board messenger is telling me you have chosen not to accept PMs, I will post my response to your PM here: Saying you have pics but don't ask for them is pretty rude and would get you flamed to death on any other forum. I do appreciate the ddetailed escription you added, however, which I saw after I posted. Did you notice its 10211 and not 101211? Regards Svelte Quote
Etzel Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I posted information above. Have fun reading it... Isn't there a window washer too? Or am I remembering incorrectly from when I saw the picture? (could have been a preliminary though) Quote
metalandi Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) I agree, the saying you have pictures but can't post them seems kinda childish. It is like kid saying to another one "i've got tasty ice cream but you won't get any of it". I know you might not mean it in that way, but still it would have been better if you wouldn't have said anything, if you can't post them anyway. @Etzel: as far as i know we haven't seen any pictures at all yet of this set... Etzel Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 @Etzel: as far as i know we haven't seen any pictures at all yet of this set... No, but I have. And Legoliner Pilot has, so I'm asking him in particular Quote
gladiator Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 10211 is very similar with svelte's modular house :) Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Isn't there a window washer too? Or am I remembering incorrectly from when I saw the picture? (could have been a preliminary though) Yes, there is a window washer. He has a red cap, green legs, and the torso from the small red tractor set. It looks to be hung by string. Quote
MetroiD Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Yes, there is a window washer. He has a red cap, green legs, and the torso from the small red tractor set. It looks to be hung by string. And that's one of the few things which were mentioned initially... I believe that was even in this thread. In any case, thanks for the info and sorry if I've offended you in any way. Your initial reaction was, however, not too well conceived. The best thing is, another month or two and we'll all actually have the chance to own this set and see it for ourselves. Quote
MatthewUSA Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Thank you legomilk for this news. I can't wait to see the pics of this set. I am sure this set will not disappoint since Lego has been doing an excellent job with these modular building sets. Model On!! Quote
lifeinplastic Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) OK, let's keep this thread friendly If we can ask questions.... -What colour are the flowers and what sort of pots do you mean? -Are the faces classic smileys and which hair pieces are included? Any new torsos? -Are the flags the thin banner-like castle-style flags? -Is the store quite modern looking? Thanks Edited January 12, 2010 by lifeinplastic Quote

Any new torsos? -Are the flags the thin banner-like castle-style flags? -Is the store quite modern looking? Thanks 1. Pink and white. They are brick-built pots. It's hard to describe them since this image is only 283x283 pixels large. 2. You get an Agent Trace hair piece in brown, what looks like Irina Spalko hair in black, and some kind of male brown hair piece, may be Mutt's hair or classic smooth hair. There is one new torso in this set: 3. They are classic flags that are bright red and navy blue. There is one of each color on each of the four poles. 4. No, it is 19-20th century-style like the rest of the modular buildings. Also, you get an immense amount of dark green window frames in this set. Edited January 12, 2010 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Edmond Dantes Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) I posted it.... Yes, but Legomilk initially broke the news and created the thread. Thanks for all the information. Edited January 12, 2010 by Edmond Dantes Quote

lightningtiger Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Interesting information 'Legoliner Pilot' - I can understand not posting images if you have promised a friend you won't post them. Only so few minifigs for such a big set and only one floor has heaps of detail to it, I guess we just have to wait - maybe next months toy fair Lego might show it to the world - we can only hope.
