Legolas Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Hi everyone The big Moment the brickshelf folder is ready http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=407136 presenting my verry detailed cruiser 4 figters 1scout 1repair pod 4torpedo tubes 8pulse phasers "a lot of greebles" the inside isn't that big but i wanted on the outside enormous details in the details folder you can see the many greebles and the antennas on the sides the ship isn't completely ready there's some more work on any comment's someone Edited November 20, 2009 by Legolas Quote
-JD- Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Dude! Thats...awesome! Those Tanks/Gun emplacements remind me of the Snail Tank from Star Wars, and I absolutley adore those greebles! The interior is great, but my only complaint is that there should be more minifigures. Fantastic job anyhoo. Quote
Milan Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Extra nice work! Detail are so great...ship is very massive, and interior is perfect! How much does it weight? it is certainly not light! I like how much effort you put in this monster! Well done! Quote
Tereglith Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Man, when you say lots of greebles, you aren't kidding. There's enough top hats alone to outfit an entire Victorian London Opera house! Outstanding job on this. Quote
Legolas Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 thanks The ship isn't ready yet version 3 will be the final state _the bottom needs more work _2 corners aren't ready yet _minifigs have to enter (i am thinking of just putting clone troopers inside they are always nice) _i need to make a standard for the whole thing and indeed the ship is heavy when i move it most of the time i disassemble it for safety i am verry proud of the result because at this moment i has taken already 1 year to build (try this try this try this) the figther pods and especially the scout ship is my favorit (with the greebles at bottom) Quote
Legostein Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Hello! Really impressive your gargantuan starship! I guess you could call this a capital ship. The only thing I find highly disturbing is the size of your images. I mean each image is almost 5 megabytes big and they load forever. Please keep in mind that not everywhere on Earth there are optimized internet connections yet. And unless you want to print a poster with those pictures (although it would look great I guess ), a resolution of 1024x768 pixels is more than sufficient for the internet. Cheers, ~ Christopher Edited October 28, 2009 by Legostein Quote
Legolas Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 yeah you are right i will shrink the files :) Quote
Optimus Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Absolutely amazing job, this thing is really great! I especially like the inside details such as the torpedo tubes and the shower / bunk beds. There is so much detail on the outside as well. The little fighters are awesome. Excellent work!  Quote
highlandcattle Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Very nice work Legolas! Even if I am not really a space fan this has some very nce features. Not a fan of the pods but I like the scoutship Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) This is marvelous, I love your use of top hats as greeble. I think that I like the outside of the carrier best, with all of those beautifull greebles (love the rods on the side!) I'm not a huge fan of the inside, for some reason it seemsto lose the wonderfull crispness and greeblage found on the outside, I don't mean it's bad though, I just think the sudden boldness doesn't quite fit with the articulated exterior. The carrier = totaly cool ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 8, 2010 by dannylonglegs Quote
DJ Force Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 My favorite is this part: I can´t even make out all the parts you used there. It blends in so very well, so smooth! Marvellous! Quote

ciano Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 The word I would use to describe this is awesomazing. Interior not too big? P'shaw. Everything about this thing is MASSIVE, and you ought to be proud. Quote
Zorro Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Amazing looking ship, you sure put a lot of work into it! Perhaps you could add one or more pictures to the post (deeplink them), that would encourage discussion of this topic. Quote
