Posted October 28, 200915 yr Ok, I've run the Bionicle characters, photo portraits thread through some time now, showing off some photos I've taken of official sets. Now I think it's time to show some of the Bionicle mocs I make from time to time. Right now I think I got three mocs assembled, fairly big creations, but I do moc from time to time, and will use this thread to show off my creations in the future. In my view we could definately gain from having more mocs shown here on EuroBricks of Bionicle creations, and I guess a good idea is to do some myself instead of just sit and complain. 1: Boss of Piraka. This guy is mean, big, heavy, and above all golden as hell. Looking up towards you, just about to poke the spear in your eye. His legs includes custom thighs incorporating golden masks of life. The arms are very muscular, and the shoulders have double linkages to carry the heavy load. The hips have double linkages too, which together with the sliding damper at the shin, enables a pose like this.
October 28, 200915 yr I am not a fan of bionicle at all, but I must say you have some crisp nice clear pictures there adn he looks pretty tough. I really like the legs with the double tubes, it makes it look proportionally accurate.
October 28, 200915 yr Woah, impressive. Not a big fan of the spear, but I like a lot of it. Such as the sheild and how you incorporated the Ignika's. So overall, I love it.
October 29, 200915 yr The colour scheme, proportions and photography are all very sleek. The weapons are very nice too. As suggestions to improve the MOC, if you don't have black friction axle-pins, use black 2# axles for the chest tubes, because those distracting blue pins can be fixed. Despite the envy factor of those thigh Ignika, I don't think they're that suitable as thigh armour due to their surface design motifs being completely different from the rest of the gold pieces, and they've got an unavoidable "overbite" on the knees when used as thigh armour. The tubing is an excellent detail to, but make the shin tubing connect from the ankles to the knees in the direction of the waist, because they're current direction disrupts the rest of the tubing flow of the MOC. The building techniques you used are an interesting mix, with set derived re-enforcements to customized elements such as the torso. I'll have to try that myself sometime. Overall it's fabulous, and I eagerly await your next creations.
October 30, 200915 yr See this is what I expected Nektann to look like. But look what we got. Moving along, this is fantastic. Custom thighs are awesome, and the spear is nice as well. Great work Front. -Mesonak
October 31, 200915 yr Front, if you want, I can make this it's own topic for just the current MOC. It's definitely worth it.
October 31, 200915 yr Author MAKE IT OFFICIAL LEGO! Too many technic parts would probably make the set way too expensive. Front, if you want, I can make this it's own topic for just the current MOC. It's definitely worth it. Yes you may be right, it could be better with a seperate thread for each moc. Fell free to modify the titel, and I'll display the next moc in a new thread. .... And thank you all for comments. I had a hard time fitting the masks of life to a moc in a less strange way.
October 31, 200915 yr Too many technic parts would probably make the set way too expensive. And so? ALL the Bionicle titan sets now are freaking Expensive due of how their awesome designs are. i don't your Moc as a 20 dollars titan. i see your Moc a 50 dollars Titan!. his Designs is even better than Mata Nui titan one!
October 31, 200915 yr Yes you may be right, it could be better with a seperate thread for each moc. Fell free to modify the titel, and I'll display the next moc in a new thread. Done
November 27, 200915 yr Wow, really nice MOC Front ^^ However, Ignika's are not suitable for just armor in my eyes. I was like WOW when I saw the shield, nice job, make more
November 27, 200915 yr I love him! The Piraka's were such fun, and he fits in great. Oddly I found the mask-of-life legs funny...
