Posted October 31, 200915 yr Hi! :D Today, I am presenting you my new work: VW bulli. I was building it for my Reggae Band. BS Flickr Photos: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pitrek02...s/VWBulli/1.jpg (1-10) ;)
October 31, 200915 yr I absolutely love this creation! In fact, I own the real VW Transporter, and I am very happy to see an Lego model of it. Really, you did the shape perfectly, with the roof and windows, angled front "hood". i am really impressed with this MOC!
October 31, 200915 yr Looking good. There's an awful lot of SNOT going on there; does it make it quite fragile? Also, I take it those are stickers on the windscreen?? I tried to build a VW camper; yours is way better. I particularly like the 8-stud curved pieces at the front, and the spare wheel.
October 31, 200915 yr Wow, that looks really really accurate. I don't think I have ever seen that windscreen before. Excellent job.

Unfortunately, there's no other way to get the typical "splittie" screen of the VW Type 2 T1 right... Trust me, I know from personal experience! I'll be uploading my take of the T1 and T2 these days, however unlike most of you guys, I've gone for 4-wide scale! Piotr, lovely MOC! I love how you've also included a spare tire at the front - I also did that for my T2 and it sure adds so much more fun to the model! :]

It should look even better when it's less wide than a City truck I wouldn't be able to offer a better solution for the windscreen, it's just always a shame when Lego pieces have to be modded, although this is one of the least unacceptable things you can do to your MOCs.

Of course, but stickers are not modding per se, and it doesn't even come close to shaving bricks and so on Besides, stickers are hard to come by when you can't personally print them, which is my two VWs have been taking so long... Enough about that though - Piotr, could we perhaps see a few shots of the Type 2 with the band on it? That would be pretty awesome :)
November 3, 200915 yr Wow nice! I have a question, what wheels are those? I could use those to make smaller cars.
