David Thomsen Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) I feel like conversation has been a bit slow here lately since the 'end of pirates' and the 'Imperial Flagship' topics have kind of died down, so I thought I'd think of something to provoke ideas... Assuming that pirates returns in 2011 (based on nothing but wishful thinking) and it isn't a POTC license (based on nothing but wishful thinking), what possible exclusives could they do, now that they've done an exclusive ship? I can only think of a few... * Imperial fort. A proper fort this time, with an armoury, an admiral's office and sleeping quarters, a canteen for the soldiers to hang out at, a GOOD prison and a GOOD crane for moving cannons to the Imperial Flagship. * Civilian port. Either two MMV-type buildings along a wharf, or a small merchant ship with a customs house and a gangplank for transporting goods between them. Edited October 31, 2009 by David Thomsen Quote
Ratshot Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 A new soldiers fort. A pirat fort. A town simmilar to Midevil Market Village, just pirate style. Or a really nice trading post. Quote
Jack Bricker Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I would love to see them reissue the skull eyes schooner in all of the new colors that they are using for the pirate line. Replacing the grey decks with brown ones and using the new doors for the cabin would be awsome. Quote
Vicmackey80 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 A town simmilar to Midevil Market Village, just pirate style----> It's a best idea!! Tortuga island Ghost Ship in Flyng Dutchman'style, but not with skeleton sailors, with a Monsters'sea! Big Pirate Ship with 16 cannons! Pirates minifigures House of Governor! Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Pirate ship in classic style with classic heads and classic colour schemes. Not gonna happen, but what I want! Quote
andy0002 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 maybe a tavern taken over by pirates and used as a hangout in town. i would think it would be no bigger than the star wars endor battle set. also i think we need to bring back some classic, and not make up a hero, something epic like "captain Morgan" or "black beard", or one of those people as the next pirate captain, not some crap story lego made, like brickbeard, how can you take that seriously? I have one solution that would end all discussion on this site: the return of LEGO legends. Quote
Rick Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I have one solution that would end all discussion on this site: the return of LEGO legends. I wouldn't be in favor of this option. While I certainly think TLG should take good ideas from the past, I would definitely not like them to literally bring out copies. The current line of exclusives is excellent and I wouldn't like them to be (partly) replaced by Legends. Quote
curtisrlee Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Re-Release of the old sets like Black Seas Barracuda or Eldoraldo Fortress etc etc Quote
SlyOwl Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I think this thread is intended to be about possible future Exclusive Sets (e.g. new Imperial Flagship), rather than "what I would like to see about pirates at some point". I'd like to see a blend of the Cafe Corner style modular buildings with the MMV baseplate for the individual buildings. Think a 32x32 water-front, with 2 buildings on it, built around MMV specifications, which can be removed/swapped around/swapped with the MMV buildings. Comes with MMV-esque array of figs and accessories. Quote

BrickPerfection Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Nothing more to add! Except for a merchant vessel. Now only hope something like that is really going to happen. Since Pirates has always been a theme mostly for children (and its getting more childish ever since initial release) I doubt that is ever going to happen. Also note that the imperial flagship is already the limit here i think. But I like the idea very much as well. There must be something to dream of, even if it is so very unlikely I think that if lego would be going to release a new pirates line (since pirates II will be discontiniued), they might release another small ship like the Renegade runner or the armarda flagship. Governor Wes Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) I think have all of the imperials like armada, guards and soldiers, and a small pirate raft. Includes: 3 ships 1 raft 1 conquistador 4 armada sentries Governor broadside 2 Imperial guards A new admiral I made called Fackelbackar (Evil face, black beard) 2 imperial soldiers A small village. Captain Blackbeard 2 pirates It's a bumper set, I know. Good thinking. Maybe you could send the ideas off to lego themselves! Edited November 13, 2009 by Governor Wes Quote
