... and Town Plan is sold out as well in Europe (still available in the US).

Just a while ago I bought Cafe Corner on S@H. It was just before it was sold out. I was fortunate then. Now I've been fortunate again. I've recently ordered Town Plan. Now it's sold out but one copy has been shipped to me. It's also a S@H purchase. I haven't received it yet.

Finally! :cry_happy:

Congrats on your highly anticipated buy. How much did you pay?

Same deal here mate. I've bought the Market Street, Town Plan and Cafe Corner at the very end of their shelf lives... and I couldn't be happier, it would be a crying shame to miss out on such sets.

Cagri, I was wondering whether you could please confirm the information regarding the Recycle and Cement Trucks? Are they also going to be discontinued soon?

I started to read this before school today, and freaked out  Just now checked the S@H website and its back in stock. I know it is going to be discontinued eventually but come on, I'm getting a job in December and will actually will Finlay be able to buy things like that.

Few! Lucky I got it from the local Lego store a day before this, sure dodged a bullet there. (Sadly I can't say the same for Market Street :cry_sad: )

This is too bad, but also nothing surprising. Its been around for quite a while now, and TLG needs to make room for more.

Well, since really all of the sets have been discontinued (Service Station, Harbor, Container Stacker) except for the Cement Mixer and Recycling Truck, don't you think the others will follow suit as well? IMO, I think the cement mixer should have been thrown out in favor of the Service Station. I mean, even as an AFOL, I had at least an hour of fun running the yellow car through that awesome car wash.

I apologize if there is a topic already for this.

Just came back from the downtown Chicago Lego Store. They are cleaned out of

the 10182 Cafe Corners, and they said that the only stores that have any left

are in Texas and Ohio, which will ship them to you, if you would like. The employees

at the Chicago store said that a few people came in on Saturday to buy them all

up.

Looks like the end of the road is near for this classic set.

:hmpf_bad: I wanted to go pick another of those up a few weeks back. Oh well.

Actually, there are several topics discussing this and it's definitely nothing new. The end of the road is not near - it was discontinued a month or more ago and if you happen to see a copy sold anywhere, you'd be one of the luckiest people around :)

On the bright side - Cafe Corner's out, Grand Emporium's in!

Oh, good thing I came in on thursday and picked one up! :classic:

European stocks ran out before the US ones did, I'd suggest you buy one from Texas or Ohio now that you still can.

The only good think of living in a country where Lego sets are always late is that even if we can't have Lego stores, exclusives, advent calendars or some new themes, we still have a lot of "old" modular sets like CC, GG or even MS in stores :classic: At last we, spanish AFOLs have a bit of luck  Not pretending to be offensive

OK, just came back from the Orland Park Lego Store, and they had 8 left. I got one, but the rest, the boxes were far from mint condition, if that's what you're looking for. They had 8 out in the front, and none in the stockroom, so unless they get a new shipment, this might be the last batch in Chicago. Also, they don't put stuff on hold if you call ahead. I had called ahead to see if they had any, but they refused to hold any.

How on earth can picking up old sets be offensive? That's one of the pleasures of the hobby!

I'm going to the Chicago area after Christmas, and that's not good news, because I wanted to get another CC (superior set for parts). And, the likelyhood of Green Grocer (IMO another superior parts set, 2nd to CC) being in stock in any of the Chicago stores also slims as Christmas nears. I can only hope any modulars are still in stock after Christmas. :sadnew:

I'm going to Schaumberg where 2 stores are pretty much next to each other.

Merged! Thanks Otters

Please do have a look around the forum before creating new topics if you suspect (as you did here) that something already exists. Thanks!

As recently as two weeks ago the NorthPark store in Dallas had roughly two dozen sets out on the floor of the store. I don't know if they had any in back.

I stopped at the Stonebriar Center location in Frisco (a suburb of Dallas) this past Friday, December 11, to see if they had anymore Winter Toyshops (no luck) and saw probably a dozen Cafe Corners out on the floor. Again, I don't know if they had anymore in the back.

Quick, time is running out if you still haven't picked up this set.
