Selander Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) We had a AFOL meeting this weekend in Sweden, and to that I did a little display as a construction site. And I received some good feedback on the cementation scenary.... Minifigs are busy with cementation of some ground for...I don't know what.... The cement mixer truck is inspired by a similar truck by P Normandin, but I have a more Swedish (or european) inspired chassis and some other details. I thought it was a nice design so I have been thinking of making my own version for several years, and now it is done.... Any comments are appreciated. Edited November 26, 2009 by Selander Quote
Inconspicuous Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Simply amazing! I love the truck itself and the channels directing the cement to the construction area. I also like the SNOT container and the smooth/rough contrast. If I were to change one thing, the tube of the mixer might be a tad bigger. Otherwise, superb MOC! Quote
Rick Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Nice brick-built striped design on the mixer itself. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 A great MOC set in concrete. Did anyone notice the builder using a triangle road as a cement trowel/smoother ? Really like the cement pour equipment, very close to the real thing. Very well done ! Makes me want to rebuild and modify my 7990 cement mixer with that pour arrangment. Quote
Aliencat Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Oh very nice truck. I like the striping on the cement drum a lot. Good job keeping it in scale LEGO's town trucks Quote
prateek Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Great scene! That truck is really cool, especially with the slopes, and I like how you made that trough for the cement Quote
MetroiD Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 on everything! Not just the truck - although it sure is one awesome MOC - the whole arrangement of the scene here is lovely and very detailed. Great job Selander! Quote
Legostein Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Hello! Using curved slopes and curved wedges is a very inventive way of building a cement tipper drum! Also the detailed cement delivering slides are a very nice touch missing in the official sets. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Milan Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) Great model! Building round 3D objects are always a challenge in Lego. You did pretty good drum! Truck itself is very nice, too. And together they are fantastic! Edited November 9, 2009 by Milan Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I am very impressed with this construction scene especially on the red cement mixer with that lovely drum and that cement bed. Looking forward to see more of your town creations. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I really like the cement area Selander. Overall, a very nice construction site! Quote
Yakop Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I really like the guy that flattens the cement. Nicely done. Quote
GovernmentGuy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I really love the MOC cement trowel~ It's really nice~ Can you show us more pictures of it, please~ Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Very very nice work. The wet cement and the un-smoothed portion is really good. Quote
Topsy Cret Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I've never seen any red-and-white cement trucks here in Sweden, but the shape is just... Superb. In conclusion, I'd say this is a very well executed construction site! Quote

Piranha Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Nice job I really like your custom Cement Truck Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 That's a totally awesome MOC/scenery, Selander! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and the details are stunning! The most I like the concrete mixer - with its white-red color, its details and the car doors it looks even much better than the last official version from Lego! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
JayDuck Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I'll echo that the truck is superb, as well as the scene around it. Great job! Quote
