No Towel Lint Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) Here is my first modular MOC: a US Post Office and postal delivery vehicle. Edited November 9, 2009 by No Towel Lint Images removed Quote
Svelte Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Ack! Those images are multiple and massive We only allow a maximum of 800x600 pixels - please resize and then feel free to repost them in the above post. Nice MOC! But the images really are too big Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Great modular design post office, vehicle is nice too except there is no cargo doors on the back or side like a real mail van. Good work ! Now I have to finish my city corner style post office. Quote
BlueBard Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Really nice design, specially with the work you did in the interior with those tiles Quote
Milan Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Excellent. I like the stripes at the walls of the building, floor, and how you organized interior. Van is very nice, too! Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Brilliant! Looks just like a US post office. And the USPS van is spot-on! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Can you say tiles!~!!!! Wow, spectacular work. Both the truck and building look alot like the Post office in my city and the truck, well, those never change. Very impressive tile work, even inside everyting is tiled. It's birlliant! Quote
Rick Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Really nice MOC. I like how you've managed to fit all the post office essentials into such a small space. Quote
wooootles Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I like it. Nice use of space. Fully tiled is a plus for me (since it's modular standard more or less) Nice use of Technic as well! Quote
No Towel Lint Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks to all for the compliments. I'm going to build something else to go next to it, perhaps a book store. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Looks nice! I like the interior of the building, and the car has a nice feeling over it. Nice job on it. Quote
MetroiD Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Awesome!!! And that superb UPS truck is the icing on the cake! Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 This is a nice post office that you have got there, especially the mail sorting area inside. It's an nice addition of how a postal office should look like, but I didn't know that US Postal Office used such color scheme for their buildings and vans. This is now featured in Classic-Town.net. Ralph_S Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Really nice. It's small, but it's got everything. I am really digging that little Grumman post van. It's just about perfect. Cheers, Ralph Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 LEGO really needs to release sets like this one. People said that about my soda shop, and I think it applies even more here. The small size of the set (when compared to the other modulars) means it would be more affordable, and it certainly isn't lacking in detail, interior or exterior! If this were an official LEGO set, I would buy it without hesitation. Quote
harrysnapperorgans Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Fantastic stuff! Great detail and the post van is just perfect. (maybe does need an opening door in the back though) Quote
prateek Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Wow! This is great. I love all the details all over the model, but my favorite has to be te conveyor belt Quote
Piranha Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Great Job Really looks and would fit in well with all the other modular buildings. I especially like your rendition of the USPS Mail Van. LEGO often builds generic vans for Postal sets and I think they are European. Not that I like the shape of the USPS Vans Another nice feature of modular buildings is the ability to have cars closer to an accurate scale Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Very nice. Love the sorting track. Van is real neat too. Good job. Quote
benny Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 The post office is very nice!!! The color is look like 10001!!!! Its color is so matched!!!! Edited by TheBrickster: Let's try not to quote an entire post with images -thanks. Quote
Brick Floyd Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Great post office you've got there. I especially like the interior, very stylish and compact. Quote
