squidman85 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Sorry for asking, but do anybody know, how to make sets on flickr? Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Very simple, when you upload a picture, and it says add a description, be sure to click that, then at the screen where you can add the description, there is a drop down box that says "Add to Set?" If you click that there is an option for New set, then you can create that set. I've never created a set without loading a picture, I'm sure you can, but this way is really simple. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Oh, for existing pictures, there is a little button above the picture next to all the other options such as "all sizes" or "rotate" etc. You can create a new set from there too. Quote
squidman85 Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Thank you Big Cam! Now i know, how to make them Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 No problem, glad I could help. Also if you ever want to remove an image from a group, you can do that too. Quote
squidman85 Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 I've got one more question. How to make Collections ? Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I personally don't use collections but it's pretty much the same concept. Click on the You link and then click on collections and it will bring you to a page saying click here to go to the Organizer to create one, then just click create new and go from there. You can also manage your sets and collections by clicking the word organzie from the top left menu of words which are all kind of like options Quote

Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Hmm...I don't have any "collection" icon You have to click the word "You" first then it drops down and you can click "Your collections" Or click Organize and that will drop dpwn options, one of which being Your sets and collections. Quote
squidman85 Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Ehh...It only have icon-my sets,as in the organize .Maybe i need something to do,before it? Quote
Ricecracker Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Ehh...It only have icon-my sets,as in the organize .Maybe i need something to do,before it? Unfortunately, only Pro members on Flickr are able to create collections. For any sets and collections organization, there is a button that says organize at the top, and it'll take you to a place where you can organize almost any aspect of your photostream. Quote

Oh, that makes sense. I've pretty much had a pro account since I started using it. Quote

Big Cam Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 You payed for it?Mmm... Yes, a Pro flickr account is like $45 USD for 2 years or something close to that. The reason I did it is because your original sizes are retained and there is no limit to the amount of storage space, plus other features like viewing stats. Quote
VBBN Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The 25$ it costs for a year is totally worth it if you plan on using flickr. You can't see your oictures on flickr after you have hit 200 pictures(they aren't deleted but become invisible), so a line is drawn somewhere. I love my pro, and just recently hit 100,000 views, and it is some of the best money I have spent on any webiste-related thing. ;] Quote

Myself being into photography, I want my image quality preserved. Quote
