You have to think further CopMike, but I guess this is for real Harry Potter fans. This scene happened around christmas time in the last Harry Potter movie (and the Halfblood Prince).

I'll upload my entry very soon.

I'm pretty sure that you and Bart are the only ones who actually got that... But thanks for the clarification :)

My brick built nativity scene. (Loosely based on some instructions I found from google once) This is one of 5 nativity scene's I will have about the place this Christmas. Muhahaha!

Hope I'm doing this right... this is the first time I've posted an image to these forums.

Here's a little vignette from Serbian tradition - the burning of "Badnjak" (oak branch) on Christmas Eve (somewhat similar to the Yule log traditions elsewhere).

After Tarkin noticed some strange deliveries to the Death Star one thing came to his mind, Vader's Holiday obsession.

What does symbolize the burning branch?

What does symbolize the burning branch?

Tradition says that the light and warmth of the branch symbolize the birth of Jesus and the rising of the sun. The branch is treated like a sacred object - after it is taken, it is carried by men on their shoulders and must not touch the ground. When it enters the house, there is a number of rituals carried out before it is actually put in the fireplace.

As you can probably tell, Serbian and Bulgarian people are quite alike, even though our politicians have done their best to antagonize our folks... Cheers for that wonderful MOC Sammael!

Here's my entry, a wreath:

I used almost all of the foliage and dark red round 1 x 1 bricks that I have in my collection. All pieces are either from my only PAB cup or from my Temple of the Crystal Skull set.

I would link to more pictures, but currently Brickshelf isn't allowing uploads. :hmpf_bad:

Also, I was going to take a picture of it on my front door, but the tape didn't hold and the whole wreath exploded...

Beware the powers of the Dark Santa...

(Yeah, it's lame. I'll see if I can do better in a few days. )

It seems Eurobricks members aren't the only ones to misunderstand KimT's avatar.

Are you insane? This is really great!! Still in limits with bricks? I have nothing to blame on anymore for not creating something.

Here's my entry:

As the Christmas spirit wafted in through the December winds, the Clarke family decided to put on their winter spirit and partake in ice-skating lessons. Here we see Mrs. Clarke and Mr. Clarke watch their kids and take pictures, while the kids learn how to ice-skate from their seasoned teacher with some success. Meanwhile, local residents build an interesting snowman nearby.

My favorite part of this MOC is that it's real ice! Yes, I said it, real ice! The ice skates and girl's legs are also embedded in the ice, so when it's not on display I remove the details of the base and put the nice rectangular prism back in the freezer. This is the second real-ice ice skating rink I've made in the last few years.

I'll add a link to my Brickshelf once uploading works again.

Happy Holidays! :sweet:

This is not much building involved, but merely arrangement and touch up on my existing beach house. Appartently, I was hoping I could live in such residence and invited you guys for a Sunday afternoon BBQ over the Christmas period.

For God so loved the world that he gave his own and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life! (John 3:16)
