Sammael Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Tradition says that the light and warmth of the branch symbolize the birth of Jesus and the rising of the sun. The branch is treated like a sacred object - after it is taken, it is carried by men on their shoulders and must not touch the ground. When it enters the house, there is a number of rituals carried out before it is actually put in the fireplace. As you can probably tell, Serbian and Bulgarian people are quite alike, even though our politicians have done their best to antagonize our folks... Cheers for that wonderful MOC Sammael! Thanks! I didn't even realize that we shared this particular tradition, but, as you said, we have a lot more in common than we were led to believe in the past. I've been to Bulgaria several times (Vidin, Vraca, Albena, Primorsko), and was always received warmly. Quote
Davey Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 This is not much building involved, but merely arrangement and touch up on my existing beach house. Appartently, I was hoping I could live in such residence and invited you guys for a Sunday afternoon BBQ over the Christmas period. This is another clearer image for viewing only. Yay! I got invited to the Eurobricks X-mas party. You made my day WhiteFang!!! -Dave Quote
Shadows Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Santa Shadows Takes a Trip Announcer: It isn't a widely known fact, but 'Santa' isn't a first name or a modification of 'Saint', it's actually a title given to family members of the North Pole Mob. Each Santa in the organization has a different job ranging from accounting to manufacturing to delivery, as well as the usual gambling and extortion (why do you think they see you when you're sleeping and know when you're awake, they're collecting potentially useful information). Somewhere in all of that we find Santa Shadows who works out of the mysteriously named Office of Tracking. No one is quite sure who or what he tracks, or at least they weren't until today. Hello all, and welcome to the first annual episode of North Pole Mob Presents. I'm your host, Santa Shadows, and I'm actually the guest today as I take you on a short trip to show you what I do here at The Organization. Never fear, however, I'll be joined by someone you gents in the audience will find much more interesting than me. First off, the Office of Tracking refers to all those lists that we keep, making notes about the good and bad children of the world. Some of you may think we do that for altruistic reasons, looking to inspire young lads and lasses to behave well and earn lovely presents. You couldn't be farther from the truth. While it is true that presents are distributed to the good children, it's only to prove that they can't be trusted. If you can bribe them to be good, you could also bribe them to tell where the bodies are buried. No, we're not looking for dirty stoolpigeons, we want dependable, trustworthy members to join our organization, and where better to find them than the list of bad children? Naturally, we don't employ child labour any more, that'll get you busted faster than racketeering, but once these bad children grow up, we know just where to find them and the special ones are offered a position in The Organization. Today, I'll be visiting one of these grown up bad children, a particularly lovely young lady who grew up quite well and could easily serve as a valued asset in The Organization, perhaps even in my own office. After hours, when everyone has gone home. And here we are now at her family's stables where she has offered me 'the ride of my life', though I must admit I'm not sure what that means. Oh, look, she's returning now and she brought her whip... Hello Alice! Hi Shadows, nice hat. Thanks, it was a gift from a very special friend. I want to be your very special friend. Well, hello there! You said that already. Yeah, oh, nice pair. Of trees. Yeah. Would you like a closer look? Um, later maybe. So... why the whip? I offered you the ride of your life, didn't I? Well, yeah, but where are the horses? Where we're going, we don't need horses. Oh my. And on that note, it's time to wrap up this exciting episode of North Pole Mob Presents. I'm sure you've had as good a time as ... well, no, you haven't had nearly as good a time as I'm about to, but hey, you're not me, you just wish you were, and I am out of here! Announcer: Excuse me, sir. What? Can't you see I'm in a hurry? Announcer: Yes, but you were supposed to leave everyone with a warm and thoughtful message for the holiday season. FINE! Ok, you're right, where are my manners? Spend all the time you can with someone special, don't let the opportunity pass you by, not now or ever. Announcer: That was touching. Yeah, we'll I've got some touching of my own in mind, so I'm gone! *camera fades* Thanks for a chance to do something fun, Santa CopMike! Quote
Morgan19 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 The Chest Nutter ”The floor boards creek And the trees scream of his presence. You know he's there… He dips his twisted finger into the pool of blood And writes upon the wall: 'Who’s going to be next?' And with an ear piercing laugh, He is gone.” — Joseph Harskamp m19 Quote
