bugefun Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 This is LEGO Universe. Someone decoded the image and it has names of LEGO Universe places. Quote
Siegfried Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Hurray! Another crappy space line! I liked all the space lines... yes even Mars Mission. Quote
filip skywalker Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 The plaque you see Here, clearly resembles tho one from the pioneer spaceships: Link! LU better be good, or I'll be very dissappointed. Quote
Mission Commander Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Can't see the video, sounds cool though. Quote

Commander_Rob Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Very funny video, but it probably just LU promotion, still, that pod looks clever, wonder if there are going to be instructions for that.... Quote
badboytje88 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I liked all the space lines... yes even Mars Mission. Didn't mean to offend you. I actually really like the space police line, but the space line before space police, the one with the jelly bean aliens, sucked hard! ~Bart Quote
Skipper 24 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Ha the pod looks a bit like the Galidor pod thing . I expect this will be advertising some new line or LU. Quote
ciano Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I just got this email revealing that it's a LEGO Universe viral marketing promotion. Quote
Tereglith Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I've become a fan of B.R.I.C.K. (Bradford Rant Ins... you get it, right?) on facebook, and they sent me an e-mail saying that Pod 2 will land in Florida in early December! The box made by the coordinates includes Disney World- which includes the Downtown Disney Lego Imagination Center! AMAZING!!!! I might be able to get a pod!!! :D :D :D :D Quote
bugefun Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Okay, you wanted building instructions? You got um! http://www.bradfordrant.org/pod_01_build.html Looks like LDD, but it contains many parts that LDD doesn't have, even some that LEGO hasn't made, such as the 2x4 tile. Check out this video for a look at all the weird pieces: Also, someone said you can buy the chrome one on bricklink, I don't see it. The second pod landed today in Orlando! It also has a new chrome piece. Quote

I have been begging my parents if we could go for a day and they said maybe. Wait, bugefun, you have it? Quote
bugefun Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) You can't get the pod, it landed today, someone else got it. I didn't get it, just followed the news. I wasn't there. They said yesterday that it would be today. Edited December 4, 2009 by bugefun Quote

strider406 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) I decrypted the data on pod 2 and it is as follows. Many consider my home to be dangerous a murky and mysterious realm where only the brave or foolhardy dare to venture. To be sure the forest island is swarming with treasure hunters and those seeking fortunes at every turn, but my home is also a place of tranquility-of beauty. Before turmoil descended upon our lands I used to wander to a magnificent waterfall over a ravine. I would cross the old rope bridge and drop stones into the seemingly endless chasm. Roaming back through the dense woods, I would emerge onto a peaceful beach with perfect golden sand. Sheltered from the wind by the high cliffs that ringed the small cove. I used to sit for hours, staring out across the water. This is the home I remember. These are the days I hold dear. Days before the darkness. Before the lawlessness and infection. Before chaos. The 4 letters hidden in pod 2's data are L R T H. Edited December 6, 2009 by strider406 Quote
bugefun Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Okay, as I was posting on different forums about different things, something struck me... First you should know, By going here: https://universe.lumini.lego.com/en-us/Account/Create.aspx You can create an account to be a LEGO Universe beta tester. The account on this part of the site is strangely different from a regular LEGO account. You have to accept a secrecy thing, but you can't play because you have to have gotten an email with an activation key. Look at this topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...mp;#entry629693 It struck me that maybe, these letters we are getting (NSEW and LRTH) could add up to the activation key. The thing is, with the key, there are 5 places, that accept 5 characters each, and with each pod giving 4 characters, we would get 28, not 25 letters. But maybe the last ones will have less letters. LEGO has said that employees and families are currently testing, but public testing will come later. Quote
Dennimator Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I don´t get it.. What is this for? How do you get the pods? Where are they? etc, etc... Could someone please explain the whole pod-thing for me? Quote
bugefun Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 It is a promotion for LEGO Universe. The website bradfordrant.org says that LEGO pods are falling from the sky (presumably from LEGO Universe). There are actual pods that are placed in LEGO stores and the such that people can get. Quote
Dennimator Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Ok, thanks. So.. how many of each pod are there? Quote
bugefun Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 There will be 7 pods, each unique, with unique pieces and minifigure. The first pod was found by the B. R. I. C. K. though, so people can't get that one. #2 was found in Florida. #3 will be in Texas in the next few days. Quote
Jar Jar Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Could someone give me a linky? It didn't show anything on my computer except "Discuss here". Quote
BrickChick Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I just heard that all who are intending to turn up to the Pod landing sites on the day of the landing will be eligible for early testing of LEGO Universe! as well as having the chance to get the 1 of a kind POD!
