Badsneaker Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 While I was waiting for my Cafe Corner to come in from SAH, I decided to go ahead and build one of my own. I used the PDF from the LEGO website to see how they did the angled entrance. I usually use hinge plates but I knew they weren't used on the CC. I used the colors I had most of. The 1x3 windows come in handy here! I added a back exit and 2nd floor fire escape. I'm working on a red one now, should be done in a few days, I had to make a Bricklink order. Comments, criticism always welcome! Quote
Etzel Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Wow, very nice! The colours you have chosen is perfect, I really like them. I like the owls and the parasols too, they give personality to the MOC. It's nice that you have added details that the original Café Corner didn't have, like the fire escape. Great work Badsneaker, please show us more when you have finished your red one, I'm really interested in how they would look together! Quote
prateek Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 These new colours are great! The owl over the door also looks really good Quote
BlueBard Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Looks wonderful to me! It has this deja-vu feeling but at the same time a completely new and improved feeling too. Great job , specially with the first floor, and as a little criticism I would have used a different colour but that's just my opinion. Look forward for the red one Quote
Yakop Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 looks really really good. Nice color combination. Quote
Badsneaker Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 Thanks for everyones comments. I wish I had some medium blue arches on the 2nd floor but they are kind of scarce and expensive. The red one I'm working on is coming out pretty nice, I'm waiting on a Bricklink order for this one. Will post pics soon. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 This is really quite a nice colour scheme you have used Badsneaker, I love it! I must try my own version one day. Quote
Rick Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) Really nice color scheme change, I especially like the ground floor. I personally think the white above the first floor windows is a bit too bright within this color scheme. Edited November 17, 2009 by Rick Quote
Ras 74 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 The set it self is just so great, and making another one with colours of your own taste is a good idea for sure. The only critics might be the bley roof of the topfloor. It might be to much bley for my taste. Over all a good one!! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Beautiful build ! Great job Badsneaker, I really like the colours you have chossen. Quote
Milan Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I agree that color is perfect. With this set you can't mistake. Nice work! Quote

WhiteFang Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Nice colors combination that you have used for this lovely Cafe Corner of yours. I like that sky blue color that brings out the life of this building. Thanks for sharing it with us. This has been featured in Classic-Town.net. Quote
GingerBreadKid Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 This is a very eye catching set,and the color scheme is very good.I especially like the owl! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 That new coloursheme looks great! Not too fond of the bright blue walls at the back, but I defenitely think this would be a very nice addition to my 'modular building street'. Great work! Quote
