Milan Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Hello, Here is my next moc, I like campers, but Lego camper just did not do it for me... So i made one myself. Fiat Ducato camper. It is 8 wide, cabin is 6 wide. It has detailed interior, and simple exterior. Interior has bad, toilet, table, two seats, kitchen, and grilled floor. I wanted it to have stock two paint scheme, and I wanted to make custom stripes, but I want to hear your opinion about custom stickers! Exterior has smoked windows. I do wish it wasn't yellow though, I've never seen a yellow motorhome, usually they are a white or cream. Only schoolbuses are yellow. With that aside, i love how your MOC's allow for minifig use as well as looking good. The windscreen and overhang are spot on, it really looks to scale, seems to be your thing. Great job! Quote

wooootles Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 The shape is perfect! I like the front cab. There are a couple of things I don't like, though: -yellow. RVs are usually white, sometimes beige/tan or black, but never bright yellow. -It wasn't much of a problem with your Hummer, but here it's more obvious: the back. The point of SNOT designs is to make the model look smooth and studless, but the back almost contradicts the concept, as piece bottoms are more of an eyesore than studs. Also, back needs details (like the ladder and the backlight from 7639) Still, to build an entire thing using SNOT is impressive nonetheless. Quote

I don't mind it been yellow, it could be used by construction crews out doing road work hundreds of km's from the nearest motel. There is only one problem I can see and it's the back, the front, sides, of course the top are nice and smooth. The only thing I could recommend is the use of some 1x4 1x2 brackets and build the rear off on these brackets. That I think could give you a smooth effect all round the vehicle. Although you may have to extend the roof back one stud to cover the extra work. Anyway GREAT job. Quote

What i really dig about this one is it's size (8 studs wide) and the construction of it. Ok, the back could have some improvement perhaps, but that doesn't seem a problem to me! And one important thing: two minifig's can sit beside each other in the front right? That's always important imo to make it look real! Quote
