Internets Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 (edited) Just a simple TARDIS. No opening doors or anything. I wanted it to 'look' as close to the real thing as possible whilst still being in scale with minifigs (many that I have seen always seem to be too wide). Edited November 25, 2009 by Internets Quote
AwesomeStar Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Very impressive - actually, the best one out there, IMO. Well done, you've done the inevitable! ~A.S. Quote
Svelte Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Very impressive! You're right, most of the ones I've seen are too wide. This is a great size, and with just the right amount of detail to look Legoish Great work! Quote
Legostein Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Hello and welcome to these fine boards! Although I am not into Doctor Who and not familiar with its plot, the expression TARDIS made its career also outside the series. Your version looks pretty nice and accurate! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Commander Laquiet Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 This is a very good rendition of the Tardis. The best I've seen! I like how you've done the roof, and the windows look really good. Very, very good work! Quote
DJ Force Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Smashin´ Tardis! Could you share the LDD file? How much does the model cost? I agree with the previous posts, this is the best Tardis I´ve seen so far. Quote
Internets Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 Yeah, I'll put the LDD file up. I think it's like £20 or something last I checked. I did notice one problem though in that the base pieces aren't actually attached to anything! It'll need to be on a base plate at all times : ( Quote
DJ Force Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 hahahahahaha! You added a K9! Dude, you´re the greatest! Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Nice job with this Internets! Also Welcome to EB! It's got a nice amount of detaile to it. Well done. CommanderFox Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Just a simple TARDIS. No opening doors or anything. I always liked that loyal robot dog. Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Looks pretty accurate scale-wise. It's too bad the doors don't open. Quote
legomaniac99 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 nice looking tardis Where's the LDD file for it you said you posted it? Quote
Carbohydrates Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Very nicely done, and it should cross the threshold into perfection as soon as this piece becomes available in blue! edit: It IS available in blue! Well there's one simple change you can make to push it over the edge! Edited July 21, 2010 by Carbohydrates Quote
ferret Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Just a simple TARDIS. No opening doors or anything. I wanted it to 'look' as close to the real thing as possible whilst still being in scale with minifigs (many that I have seen always seem to be too wide). That totally inspired me to create this very slightly different TARDIS in Digital Designer - I ensured it's hollow down the very center to allow for a wire to be run up to LEDs to light up the windows and (with a bit of drilling) the lamp on top! It's my first effort at using the Lego Software, so took a while: Quote
