Actually it should be "16 very special minfigs.....". Did you learn German btw? :classic:

Yeah, I guess you're right. And yes, obviously I did learn German. I grew up with it.

Now the question is, When are these going to start hitting store shelves!?!

I am so buying tons of these!

Puhh.. I'm not sure. But I think early summer 2010 is very likely, isn't it?

Apparently it was found in a German store -- according to the original uploader of the image "Navy Trooper Fenson" http://www.flickr.com/photos/navy_trooper_fenson/4191004946/

which is most likely where "Dano" got the image from

Yep. Just read his post on "Imperium der Steine", a German lego forum. He says, he got the pic from the newest German lego catalogue!

I do like how lego made a random figure theme. They are all so great.

I just hope there not $10.00 like other blind box figures they will still be worth it though.

@Tin7: I'm sure they will be available in all Toy'r'us stores worldwide. And I even think TLC is going to expand this. It's not unlikely that we could get them in smaller stores, too. :classic:

I think that the packaging is actually small carboard box so all you people who didn't want the bags happy birthday. Also i am really hoping these go into target and on shop at home.

Found this in Dano's photostream:

Translation:

"16 Brand new minifigs to build, play with, collect and trade... ...So what's your favorite fig?"

OMG ! One of my other informats was correct !

These are I believe are a mystery box setup, you'll only find out whats in the box when you open it !

My son is going to go ape when he sees this, as he only loves to MOC his own minifigs - what a parts selection he'll have.

Oh yeah the indian is male not female - could have sworn it looked female.

If it 3.99 in Kiwi-land, then it will roughly be the same in Oz - oh dear at that price all of us Aussie AFOLs better get in quick when they are released because I think it will sellout within weeks of it entering stores !!!! :oh3:

Wait a minute series 1 ? :look:

Isn't 16 minifigs - does that mean 8 first then the other 8 or could there be another set of 16 minifigs we don't know about yet ?

Oh my poor nonexistent wallet.. :cry_sad:

And that's only the first wave! :pir_bawling:

Since we won't be able to tell the figures apart without opening the boxes, do you think that we could start a trade/swap thread on the forums?

That way, no one will be stuck with multiples of the same fig and everyone will be able to trade for the ones they really want.

Does anyone concur?

I found it on Brickshelf, actually. :P

LOL -- nice try Dano ~ too bad your image doesn't match the BS image, yet it does the one on Flickr

Besides, being an "honorary Brick~Buster" you should be able to spy those small details

Why not just give credit to the person who took the time to scan it & upload it to begin with? Wouldn't that be what you would want for your own images?

It'll be like some of those collectible card games.

Series 1 comes first, then 4-5 months later there's a series 2 with 16 new figures to collect, then 4-5 months later 16 more, etc etc.

Basically it's a cash cow. There may only be 16 to collect but as you dont know what you're gonna get in each one you might need to buy 50'odd before you get the 16.

Man I am so getting these! they all look so amazing and I just hope they all come in one pack together and its not a luck dip situation.

In New Zealand

8683 LEGO Minifigures June $NZ3.99

8684 LEGO Minifigures Sepptember $NZ3.99

Okay, 4 dollars each, box holds 3 by 9, so 27 packs, times the price of 4 equals 108 NZD!

They all look so very awesome. I honestly can't tell which is my favourite..

(Okay, so it's the zombie. :skull:)

~Peace

Hey wait. A thought just occurred to me. It says "16 Brand new minifigs to build, play with, collect and trade". It says build, right? So they must come unassembled.

Does anybody knows if those are going to be available eveywhere, or just in "some" countries?

I can verify that they will in fact be available in the United States. A few posters have worried that they might not be, but they will.

Is the cave man club a smaller version of the troll club or the same size? Can anyone tell?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've been wanting LEGO cavemen for years! And the club is my favorite LEGO weapon/accessory. I've been staring at the club for a good 3 minutes, and I'm pretty sure thats a minifig size! Reason: look at the handle on the ogre (I don't call them trolls because they look nothing like trolls.) one, and the this one.

I DEFINATLY want:

All of them besides the magician, diver, and zombie.

One noteworthy point of the picture is, at the right upper corner, it is said "Series 1". So it basically confirms the previous knowledge that there will be series 2 or more, other than the batch in the picture.

I know we're all pretty sure that there will be a 2nd series but it can't be confirmed by this. Nearly every collectible that comes out, be it cards, stickers, games or toys always says series 1. Makes it seem more worthy to invest in.

If the Zombie and Dummy don't have accessories AND the parts are random, this should mean that there will be an overall excess of accessories.

I think patience will be the key to collecting these. There are going to be tonnes of parts that people don't want. I'm really excited for these but I won't go over the top if there's just a few parts left that I need.

Looks like they are in boxes, no feeling for parts :sceptic:

There acually looks like it is one big box holding several small bags, with a strip of cardboard stapled/glued to the top of it so they can hand on shelves.

I hope we can buy those big boxes, with all of the bags in the box.

I really hope this won't be something that is only available in certain regions such as the UK and Europe region.

Hopefully, I am able to get it at local retail stores in Singapore and other Asian regions such as Hong Kong and Japan.

*Praying very hard for worldwide distribution*

Why not just give credit to the person who took the time to scan it & upload it to begin with? Wouldn't that be what you would want for your own images?

I acknowledge his contribution, and I have adjusted my frontpage slightly to reflect this point.
