Zorbas Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 A great thanks for the list Holodoc! It will definitely work as a LEGO treasure map. Quote
Edmond Dantes Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Even the though the site is up on www.lego.com, I haven't heard anything about these being available in the states yet. Anyone know when they'll be released? Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) [joke]I don't really get why they call it minifigures, what do minifigs have to do with this?*[/joke] When you go to the Bios page, the Minifigures at the top do something, but the cheerleader's one looks weird... *What would you call them haha? I don't understand what the haha is for, but I would name them Miniature Figurines. Edited April 27, 2010 by indianajones Quote

Peppermint_M Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I don't understand what the haha is for, but I would name them Miniature Figurines. You mean Miniature Figures? Enough etemology! Do any know of locations other thanb TRU? I wish to drop large denominations on these figures! Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I wonder when these will be released in Australia? And I hope they won't only be available from Toys R Us, I've had a history of missing out sets from there... I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there will be two variations of the packaging depending on the area or something... so I'm not totally sure that the list will be too handy. Quote

Haven't got around to paying TRU a visit yet... but soon! Quote
escortmad79 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) They're right by the checkouts with the stickers & collectors cards so staff can keep an eye on them as they're easy to pocket. Went to the one in Edinburgh at Fort Kinneard on Sunday & they didn't have them out, went to my local one in Kirkcaldy on Tuesday & they were, a few were missing before I got to them by the looks of it so may've been put out on Monday Edited April 28, 2010 by escortmad79 Quote
Fugazi Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the info! I'm closer to Fort Kinneard so that's the one I'll be checking out. Edited April 28, 2010 by Fugazi Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 My guess is the minifigure series will be sold where the keychains are at a Lego store. Has there been any spottings in the US. LegoGalactus Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 TRU is not close enough for me to drop in any time soon. Looks like i will be camping Argos on the weekend... Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Lol at the barcode differences! You sly little cheaters! Will these be on Shop at Home? I don't really want to go to Argos, last time I asked for something that they didn't have in the catalogue yet (Army Men on Patrol) was a nightmare. "Army on Petrol?!" Quote

I don't like the prospect of studying bar codes or feeling bags in a toy store. "Army on Petrol?!" Can you get high on petrol? Turns out you can. Quote
escortmad79 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) I'm still studying the options as well. I don't like the prospect of studying bar codes or feeling bags in a toy store. The bags are difficult to feel what's inside. The foil is fairly rigid plus you have the folded instruction sheet adding to the rigidity. The following have extras in the packs: Nurse: Extra syringe Cowboy: Extra gun Robot: Extra robot hand (Which doesn't fit into the robot arm properly on mine! ) Forestman: Extra feather Indian: Extra feathers Ninja: You get 2 katana's Edited April 28, 2010 by escortmad79 Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Cowboy: Extra gunNinja: You get 2 katana's I think the Ninja is supposed to have 2, but how many guns are there for the Cowboy? And have the older parts(Forest Men hat, Native American hair...) changed any? I've noticed that some parts that are brought back from a while ago sometimes sit higher on the head, or they make a small modification like the Cowboy guns. Holodoc Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I think the Ninja is supposed to have 2, but how many guns are there for the Cowboy? 3. And the Ninja shown on the boxes and bags comes with only one katana/sword/whatever. Quote

It has the hole at the back for the feathers & another one in the middle of the hairpiece like on Lego keyrings. The cowboy comes with 3 guns Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 So the packaging is quite rigid, and it's likely to be at the front of the store. Assuming I can find them, it sounds like choosing them isn't much of an option. I do remember back when they sold mask packs (never did get enough!) that they weren't at the front. Still, they might have gotten paranoid... If people have started finding them already, I may go to Toys R Us soon. If they don't have any, they should at least have a set I'm looking for. I also hope they'll be available at ordinary retail stores (hopefully later than they appear at Toys R Us). Quote

F0NIX Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Thanx for the barcodes! I have now testet a program on my iPhone that can read and decode the barcode and show what minifig is in the bag. "i-nigma code reader" is a free app for your iPhone, just download it from App Store and run it, it uses the camera to read the barcode. I have tested it on all the barcodes and after just a few seconds it show a webpage with the correct minifig name! Great! Now I'll go out hunting some minifigs! :D Quote
Alywin Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Available in certain Toyrus in Hong Kong already. I managed to buy a full box to share with 2 other LEGO fans. Hope we can get 3 complete 16 minifigs! Quote

I've spent the last 40 minutes scanning everything with a barcode I can find. Quote
danim Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 does the i-nigma work in the uk and how does it work, how does it know that they are minifigs Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 does the i-nigma work in the uk and how does it work, how does it know that they are minifigs Since the barcodes are different for each type, it should say which type is inside. That said, I can't use any software because I don't have an Iphone and my Ipod isn't compatible. Will the barcodes posted earlier work for the Australian versions of the packaging? I'll have to resort to that list, it seems... Quote
