Minifigs are now up at S@H for Europe/ Rest of world.

At this stage it doesn't look like there's an option to buy a box where at least you are guaranteed to get 3 full sets.

Bad news for Australians. $AUD4 is a rip-off. :hmpf_bad:

Here's a quick price convert from other currencies:

2EUR - $AUD2.80

2GBP - $AUD3.27

4NZ- $3.18

20SDKK - $3.76

25SEK - $3.66

They must be pricier here than almost any other country in the world :hmpf:

I think I'll be buying mine from the US.

Wow I thought us New Zealanders would be getting the short end of the stick. Sucks to be you guys  . Hopefully they will be coming out in stores shortly and I just hope Holodoc's list still works for Pacific/Asian countries.

Too bad for you.

It's about the same price as Argos are selling them for in Ireland (€2.80 ~= $AUD4).

Admittedly they are a little cheaper on S@H at €2.50 each (so you'd save a grand total of €4.80 if you could buy one of each 16 there instead of Argos).

It always seems like LEGO picks one country and decides to mess around with the pricing. Sorry to hear that it's Australia this time. It really hurts when your country ends up being the odd-man out. Still; I haven't heard what Canadian prices are yet so maybe we'll be throwing in our $4 right along with you Australians  .

I went to my local real.- market today to browse for the remaining minifigs.

I was pretty amazed to see that they had 3 boxes opened without any surveillance.

Hopefully there will not be plenty of them being stolen by the end of the day. :look:

But good for me  : I got all 6 cheerleaders I wanted plus 2 robots and some more.

I have to admit it takes some time to compare the codes (I have it on my cell phone) with the bags, so I wasn't able to pick everything I wanted (while my children were waiting in the car - their fault).

But I shall return! *insert evil laugh here*

My local TRU had plenty of open displays RIGHT before the cash register, just where lines of people would make lengthy checking of barcodes a chore... but I did! So, because I was in a hurry, I scanned through to get me two Forestmen, two Nurses and one Astronaut. Identification took some time (strangely all the figs I did NOT want piled exactly on the side of the display I began to check... :hmpf_bad: ) but worked to perfection. People were giving me strange looks, when I pulled out the worn print-out of the barcode-list provided by Holodoc (thx again!), but probably understood what I was doing.

My opinion: Nice designs. Plastic is the same as the one used in magnet-sets, which I noticed as soon as the milky-dull green of a Forestman's pants popped out of the bag... Some won't mind it, and I do not obsess about these kinds of quality differences, yet others might be seriously turned off by this.

All in all, I will *perhaps* get at least one whole set, yet primarily these will be bought in multiple copies for parting out. Apparently it's the cheapest way for me to stockpile some bows and quivers while amassing enough "Castle-tight" civilian torsi with the Forestman. And that dashing smile's awesome! Astronaut's helmet is waaaay oversized! Nurse's face, hair and the syringes are cool features as well!

Now it's time to hunt for that Cavemen-tribe (x10+?) and Zombie-corps(e ? hehe... x10+++)

Will the Barcode list work in the US?

Thanks,

LegoGalactus

From what I understand, there exist two separate sets of barcodes. The one provided by Holodoc is valid for the european (and asian?) copies of the minifig-bags, while the other applies to the american versions. Where the other (sc. american) list of barcodes is to find, I sadly do not know... Some other forum-members might be able to fill you in on it's whereabouts.

Four dollars for a bag? Insanity!

There go any hopes of building armies of spacemen/zombies/robots/cavemen/ninjas.

Of course, if I can find these at an easily accessible store, I'll still consider it.

Four dollars for a minifig is like an impulse set with just the minifig!

The US list most likely doesn't exist yet, because the minifigs won't come to the the US until June. :classic:

...which is kind of cool.

In North America we will have the element of surprise for the first few days. Buyers will still be able to compare barcodes to ensure they avoid duplicates, but we won't necessarily know which figure is which when we're making our purchases. Still, June seems so far away. I wonder if they will be released early June or if it will take a few weeks for them to make it into circulation.

The Lego Store calendar for the Burlington, MA store has the minifigs shown on the week of June 21. We're going to visit the store on Tuesday, so we'll ask.

Went to the local Karstadt's (Karstadt is a german department store chain...) toy section today to look out for the Minis. They had one open display in an aisle which had definitely being plundered before. The whole shop was literally squirming which parents, their children and many, many other consumer-zombies...

Upon taking out the barcode-list and beginning to check, people were passing and giving me the odd looks I new from my last experience ;-) . What was new however was the guy in the business suit standing in my blind spot right behind me after a couple of minutes. When he noticed that I had noticed HIM he came around and asked what I was doing there. So I explained the function of the list and of the unnumbered barcodes on the packages... And guess what: He began to grin like a Cheshire Cat, waved his boss over (it turned out he was an employee there ;-)), who himself was crazed about the info I shared with them. The first guy asked me to pass him my list, so he could get a copy in the store's office (which I kindly agreed to :-) ). Then both got themselves the figs they THEMSELVES wanted (an astronaut and a wrestler...) and wished me best of luck for my hunt ;-) Upon that a random mother approached and timidly asked if I could help her get a skater-fig for her son. Sadly I had checked all the figs before and... no skaters! So I passed her my list, which she shyly took but thanked me. I think she did not expect such generosity from a random stranger... ;-)

I think, all in all, this day is a prime example of how such a small thing as a Lego-minifigure can function as a great social "door-opener". Good times!

Btw: the loot was two cavemen, two cheerleaders and another forestman! Hehe, it'll be zombies next time ;-)

I got 3 packs of it from TRU Singapore. Holodoc's stuff worked well!

I got crash car dummy, diver, and a robot!

Grab them quickly before they gone.

I went to cologne last friday and visit the Lego-Store. And to my surprise they had boxes full of Collectable Minifigs and....the new Pop-sets. So I couldn't resist to buy 2 pop sets and 4 minifig bags. I wanted the Cowboy, Forestman, Magician and Zombie. Because I was to lazy to load the barcodes on my mobile phone, I had to feel what could probably be in the bags :hmpf: ..... While I stand there, staring in the air and just feeling, Some boys arrived and asked me what I was doing. After I explained, they were so kindly and helped me searching the cowboy, which was the last one I needed. 20 minutes later, one of them find one and I have to say, these where really pleasant children, helping me for about 20 minutes. I later checked my bags and all 4 were absolutely right.

Thanks to Holodoc's barcode list, I was aible to get all the minifigs I wanted and even the right number of them yesterday and today.

It seems as if there are nearly no clowns. The box I searched threw in a shop yesterday didn't include only one - and in a boy where minifigs of several boxes were put together there was (supposably) only one. But I got this one!

Slightly larger pic. of the series 2 bags?

LEGO_8684_Minifi_4be9132f22654.jpg

:sceptic:

I don't think so.

Since TLG pictured the minifigs of the first series on the bags for the first series, I bet they'll do with the series two bags, too. Adding pictures of the series one minifigs on the bags of the series two bags makes imo absolutely no sense.

Plus there is even a mistake in the picture: The cowboy wears a red scarf although he doesn't in the official bag.

i found this, not sure if anyone has seen this of series 2 yet?

*snip

Yeah, that picture has been out for some month now. But it's marked confidential so you're not allowed to deeplink to it. Besides, it's only preliminary. There are a lot of thing that aren't final on that picture (e.g. the hat of the mexican, it will be a sombrero).

:sceptic:

I am 99.99% sure that is fake or preliminary, because A)Lego wouldn't show series 1 figs on series 2 bags and B)if they did, they would have no reason to make them look ugly (just look at the ninja and skater! ).

I love the diverse character backgrounds that are coming from these figs, i mean its ranging from clown to magician... brilliant.

They brilliantly mold into My Lego city...

Im hoping there will be quiet a few series of these minifigs.

I would love to see new doctor figures...

All I know is that the week they are out, I'm going to buy a bunch of different ones (By checking the second barcode) and then scan the ones I can identify for North American buyers, at least. I do know I don't want a box, just one of each figure I like, haha

Maybe if I'm lucky, I can get quite a few.
