Not sure if you guys have heard, but the official release date for these in the US is June 21, at least in Lego Stores.

Before it was June 1st, now I have to wait even longer.

Wait, where does it say it will be on the 21st? I've seen these calendars before, and just because it's on the date doesn't mean the actual thing shown will be.

Well, on brickset they said it was, but you have a point. I guess we should do as the calendar says and just ask our nearest Lego store.

Release date in Italy is "June".

I ordered 60 bags on Shop @ Home and hopefully will get a box. I also hope to actually find some bags in shops before they're gone.

Now here is cat amongist the birds.......a Toyworld in Adelaide (Harbour Town) told me MAY was on the buying sheet - so they said they should have had them in by now, still half a month to go - I say last week in May.

Any news on how long the series are likely to remain available in the shops? Since series 2 is already due to arrive in September if memory serves, it could be that they will only last for a couple months to a year max and that Lego will announce a series 3 and 4 soon (early 2011 maybe?).

I've just discovered that not only are Toyworlds hard to access, I don't even have a branch near where I live. Terrific.

Has anyone found these minifigures outside of Toys R Us or the normal retailer? If not, I may as well give up.

Buying them online is not an option, especially when it's $4 a bag!

Mime(3 heads are better than 1), Warrior(I don't think I even need to comment), Actor(Now what do we call this minifig size??), Archeologist(I love adventurers ), Pharoah(same as Archeologist)

Weight Lifter, Boy/Girl Singer, Girl Surfer, Vampire, Skier

Police Officer(boring, no new parts), Boy Surfer(face is weird), Witch(ugly, no new parts)

Its not an actor, its clearly a martial artist with a black-belt (who would have looked better with say some nunchuks instead of the statue)

I just got back from the "local" Lego Store (only an hour and a half away), and the manager says they'll have them out for sale on June 1, regardless of what the calendar says. She thinks there's a small chance they'll be available the last week of May, but not to count on it. She also thinks the Space Shuttle will be there the first week of June, despite S@H showing the 30th.

Man, my bad back is going to hate all those round trips

Your second statement explains why I say he's an actor, along with:

1. We already got a ninja

2. Look at his smile, it would go great on some magazine

3. I don't watch TV that much, but I know that some awards are golden and shaped like people

Oh, the Mexican would go in the list, and the Ringmaster would make it into the list(white PoP whip, now it's royal enough for me. But I still wish the top hat was shorter and with a stripe)

Uh-Oh. I just realized that I only have enough for one box.

1. If I get the S1 box, I would get the awesome parts, but I would only be able to buy bags of S2.

2. If I get the S2 box, I can get those awesome parts, but I would only be able to buy bags of S1.

I'm leaning sorta to option 2, but I'd like some suggestions and opinions before deciding.

Series one has appeared in the USA. Tuesday evening I stopped at TRU here in North Carolina and found two boxes on a Lego display in the main aisle near the cash registers. Cost: $1.99 per pack. I picked out 16 packs with different barcodes to make a full set (the USA barcodes do not match the European ones). Think I'll go back and get more tomorrow - TRU has a nasty habit of initially selling Lego at MSRP and then jacking up the price about a week later. I have no proof that they'll do that with these collectible minifigs - I'm just sayin'...

I can also confirm that I just bought some at TRU in Northern California. A friend bought some earlier in the day and they limited him to buying only 5. I was fortunate to get away with a bit more. WOOHOO! I love these minifigs.

If he's an actor, then why is he dressed like a martial artist? As far as I know, at most awards ceremonies for actors you collect the trophy in a suit or tuxedo. Sports trophies can also be shaped like people.

I say they're those clothes that people wear at night(I don't wear them, don't know the name ). How do we know he's at an awards ceremony? He could be shining it in his expensive house.

I'm sorry but those 3 points do not make sense. An actor would not were his karate outfit to an award ceremony, that's just ridiculous.

Apparently the Lego Store manager here was being pessimistic in saying they wouldn't appear early. Or maybe the Lego Stores will be the last retailers to get them. I'm running errands near TRU this morning, so I'll stop and check, but they probably haven't gotten this far east yet.

You're lucky your TRU starts Lego at MSRP. The ones around here start it about 10% over MSRP and never lower it.
