knuclear200x Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Holy crap! Those are some awesome minifigs! All except the wrestler, the diver, and the indian are must-haves for me! I can think of a lot of hilarious MOCs one can do with that crash test dummy! The best thing about these is that most of them will be great to have in large numbers, so it wont matter if you get doubles. I can absolutely not wait for these to come out, and I'll be very pissed if they wont be available in the US. I mean, why wouldn't they sell them here? Kids in America are crazy about this kind of collectible things. I have one question though: What exactly will a polybag include? Is it gonna be one complete fig or random parts of some of these figs? For example, will you get a spaceman or, say, a space-cowboy-clown-cheerleader-magician? Except the wrestler AND indian? I can understand not the diver but THOSE TWO?! have you no shame????!!!!!! but i digress...I can find use for all of these, even that lame clown and whatever that boring number 13 is... And with the opaque polybags, i see an army in the future...or maybe body swaps for my old figs. Edited November 30, 2009 by knuclear200x Quote
Izzy Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I think it is quite funny how a few people have been less than impressed with Number 13. That was the first one that caught my eye! Check out the new Emo hair! It rocks! and the Robot! Oh my! So cool! I think this idea is brilliant and I definitely will try me best to get my hands on these for sure! I can't wait. Also, does anyone else thing that no. 8 (Magician?) looks like the Monopoly guy a bit? Maybe a slightly younger version. Haha! Quote
Corvus Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 but i digress...I can find use for all of these, even that lame clown and whatever that boring number 13 is... And with the opaque polybags, i see an army in the future...or maybe body swaps for my old figs.#13? I almost agree- I have no idea what he is. However, a new hairpiece and face means that I will get him anyway.I have to say, I love the choice of figs for this. I can see all of them being used in some setting or another, especially the indian, astronaut, zombie, and forestman. Even for people who aren't theme specific, this is going to be an absolutely wonderful parts bag. That having been said, they are really expensive, so maybe TLG hopes that will be a prohibiting factor. It won't dent an AFOL's budget, especially for a year as dry as 2010. But it may discourage younger FOLs whose budgets aren't nearly as great. Depends on what your lego budget is. Quote
Tereglith Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 If I'm guaranteed a complete figure with each purchase, I'll buy some. However, if it's random parts, I won't. Simple as that. I'm not going to waste money on some mis-matched parts. Quote
frogstudio Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Hope we get complete minifigs in the polybags... I want them all!!!! Quote
Tom Bricks Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I cant wait for these, Ideally they would be in boxes and ore sorted. Maybe with some kind of collectors card? Quote
MaxGoof Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I don't know what #13 is, but his Emo-Kid hair is going to be PERFECT for MOCing some of my favorite young actors. I really hope that the bags contain random figures and NOT random parts, however. The idea of random parts in bags seems neither kid-friendly nor parent-friendly to me, and the idea of buying dozens of bags and failing to find all the parts to build the zombie or whoever does not appeal to me in the slightest. phillip10 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Dang! I love the zombie, robot and space guy! I hope these are not that expensive! Quote
MaxGoof Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Y'know, I just noticed that the lineup does NOT include the blue-anime-hair shown on the business cards on BrickJournal. Curious. Series 2 preview already...? Quote
tin7_creations Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Will these be available in Canada? 2.5 Euros each is roughly the price of an impulse set in Canada. If they're available @ the Toysrus here, I'll blow my whole paycheck on them, I won't just collect them all; I'll collect multiples for extra parts! ~tin7 Quote
Corvus Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Something I'm worried about- What plastic is being used? Actual lego plastic, or the crappy plastic that's been used in the magnet sets? Y'know, I just noticed that the lineup does NOT include the blue-anime-hair shown on the business cards on BrickJournal. Curious. Series 2 preview already...? That one might actually have been a buisness card. I don't think they'd include an Exo-Force minifig. Quote
Markypops Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Oh! my god! These are amazing, got to say I will be buying a few of these. LEGO has surpassed itself with these little beauties. Quote
Carbohydrates Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Y'know, I just noticed that the lineup does NOT include the blue-anime-hair shown on the business cards on BrickJournal. Curious. Series 2 preview already...? It was mentioned that the Exo-Force fig, the blue-haired anime minifig, was what was on the business cards before. Now, the cards show these new figs. Quote
David Thomsen Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I expect that I'll be buying complete minifigs from Bricklink or somewhere. I'm sure lots of people will buy hundreds of bags, match up the pieces and sell them that way. Even though the cost of buying an individual minifig this way will be at least twice as much including postage, it'll still be much cheaper than just buying and hoping, buying and hoping. However, if S@H do some kind of exclusive 'complete collection' thing, I'll just get that instead. I hope they have a cavewoman later on. Otherwise my caveman is going to be a tad lonely. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) I think Bricklink partialy kill this series... oh the good times where you have to buy the whole set to get one brick, or minifig... i still do that.... If you are Lego fan you should buy at least one of those! Its all about TRADING! Its fun! I think they will made a free promos of this series in magazines... you know, kind of teaser... David Thomsen Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 If you are Lego fan you should buy at least one of those! Its all about TRADING! Its fun! Fun, but expensive... kind of like gambling. And like gambling, the house is always the winner... If I can't play the game my way, I won't play it at all... However, I will probably get two or three bags to begin with — just, as you say, for 'fun'. Quote
kurtice Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 these look awsome can't wait, . i'm sure that if you repainted the clowns hair you get a lego afro! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 It is certainly a good way for Lego to get me to buy more Lego. I find that I buy a big load of sets when each wave comes out in a year, then maybe one or two small sets inbetween. With these figures I am likely to cut out my daily dose of snackfood and chocolate from the shop at work and buy some polybagged figures. New Lego with the side effect of a better diet! Another bonus I have is my brother in primary school, or my sister who works in a primary school (and has the bonus of the children thinking she is awesome) who can trade for me Quote
Sajer Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 This is kinda awesome, though the mixing of figure parts is really kinda strange marketing strategy. I didn't really expect new prints and moulds, thought it'll be just a variation of the Vintage series, so Lego really has surprised us this round. Can't wait for it to come out and like you guys have all mentioned, hopefully its not to expensive. Quote
KurttKrueger Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 An awesome idea from Lego this one. They know how to appeal to my inner pokemon collector. However, I really can't see the information about random parts in each polybag being accurate. If the first wave is out in June, and the second in August (if I've read it right), then theres no way someone could collect them all through regular means if this is the case. I'll wager its one complete fig plus accessories per bag. Either way, will still pick a few up! Quote
Gamer Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I am so exited about these minifigs,my favourite is the clown. So many new parts and you dont have to buy the sets to get them, how great is that. Gamer. Quote
dariofol Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 and if TLG make a test with this figures for know if there's a theme that must be a future theme... as the caveman world for example... Quote
blueandwhite Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I'm kind of surprised that they don't have a bluecoat to grab the Pirate folk in the way they've thrown a bone to City, Space, Castle, Ninja and even Western fans. Having said that; this line looks incredible. Moreover, it presents some interesting possibilities. I could see online trading through Eurobricks becoming quite popular in 2010. I only hope that the figures are produced in even quantities so that it doesn't become a negative experience. The idea that some of these parts could be exceedingly rare making it difficult to complete certain figures worries me. I don't want to have 25 Wrestler heads and no torsos because LEGO decides to produce these in random quantities. 2010 is looking interesting indeed... Quote
The Crazy One Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I am already saving for these guys. I am so desperate to get them. So are they in order of how common they are? Quote
squidman85 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Awesome! All minifigs are good,i think that they all will sell in Russia(if they will). Quote
