Sorry but the only one that i know of that i get my CMF that are not online is Planet Comicon in Kansas City.

Do anyone keep getting one of those Minifigs that will not leave you alone, like with me i keep getting the Welder and now i got like 12 of them now.

Not really, i mostly think they make the color at random the just don't use the same color background. I think what they just do is throwing a darts at the random color thing and what ever color it hits they use it.

There's no way it's entirely random. There is thought that goes into it. For instance, I guarantee that the LEGO Group makes sure that no series is too close in color to any of the previous two series so as to ensure buyers don't become confused. Likewise, I think some colors like pink and brown are probably avoided entirely due to certain associations ("girliness" for the former, and... other things for the latter). And some series get very specific symbolic meanings — Series 10 used gold to signify the "Mr. Gold" gimmick, and the LEGO Movie series uses the same dark blue color as for the other LEGO Movie sets.

I highly doubt anything in the LEGO group is random. They wouldn't be a successful business by sheer chance if they did that.

As for the above with the figure that never leaves you alone. Why do you have 12 if you don't like it? Just use the feel method and you can bypass those pesky characters.

Not sure if this is on topic or not (this IS the general CMF topic) but in the future, could we title all CMF threads 'CMF Series ##'? I'm sure people like myself are fooled when you see 'LEGO Collectable Minif..." and it's not a series thread, but something like the display case threads. It'd be a lot easier.

Not all CMF has numbers attached. The current series is The Lego Movie and doesn't have the number. The next CMF is the Simpsons and it won't be numbered again. CMF 12 will be back with number around October of this year.

I have never had this problem... maybe make your browser window bigger so you can see the entire title or try and read the title itself?

I think he means this problem occurs when viewing the portal. That's the only time that happens with me, which I think is natural. CM4S, if you're using a desktop, you should be able to hold the mouse over the topic and see the full title load up as a mini pop up on the screen. ((This should work, it's how I remember it being)

It would probably be the only time when I would encounter it. Like you said, I usually just hold my cursor over the title if it's too long to read from the portal. I thought it was common sense, but to each his own.

So now that I know I won't be bumping this thread by posting here, I want to make a formal(?) request to ask that if anyone here see's any retired CMF series anywhere (not online of course) if they can please report it here, that would be great.

Yes. I got series 3 some days ago. Got 2 Samurai.

But in Italy. I don't think this helps.

Not puting in number for the Lego Movie and Simpsons is a good idea because they are mostly not there own thing because the Lego Movie CMF and Simpsons CMF are part of there own theme, the Lego Movie theme and the Simpsons Theme.

At the very least, I'd wish to follow any TLG designers who do happen to be here just so I can be aware if they do come on by and drop a comment.  There are a few other designers here on Eurobricks outside of the Collectable Minifigure theme who I am following, and sometimes their contributions can be insightful!
