February 23, 201015 yr ^ I absolutely agree samuraiturtle. I suspect a lot of opinion on the Great Helm will change once people get them into their hands. I remember the helmet made for the Trolls getting flak as well, but I believe it turned out to be a well liked piece. It shouldn't be that hard to judge either, just one 7950 Knight's Showdown is a cheap way to gauge whether you like it or not. I say the helmet is a great addition to Castle. February 24, 201015 yr Personally I really like the great helm. Diverse helmets works best with what I want from the Lions/Dragons. Crownies can be all uptight with their matching troops (Though not enough shields for all of them...), but for dragons I want some randomness in their ranks.
February 24, 201015 yr Hi, I do like the Kingdoms line very much and I think it has the potential to become the best Castle line ever. But I am missing an important thing: knights! A knight has an armor, a horse and a lance. There are only two riders (without a lance) and both belong to the Lions. Edited February 24, 201015 yr by Raubritter
February 24, 201015 yr A Knight does not HAVE to have a lance. And i think there will be more knights on horses in future sets, though we will never get like 4 horse knights in one set anymore ever, i guess.

That is what I am doing with my crownies and they are so cool.
February 26, 201015 yr You could have dismounted knights with swords. That is what I am doing with my crownies and they are so cool. Well, I do like the infantry, but I´m missing sets like: 6009 http://www.rittersets.de/set6009.html 6035 http://www.rittersets.de/set6035.html 6021 http://www.rittersets.de/set6021.html 7009 http://www.rittersets.de/set7009.html 6026 http://www.rittersets.de/set6026.html 6095 http://www.rittersets.de/set6095.html
February 26, 201015 yr This is only the first wave of sets we have seen yet, man. I'm sure there will be more later, just like it was with the fantasy line.
February 26, 201015 yr Indeed, and it might be wise for TLC to introduce another faction with sets to Lions and Dragons. ) Like they did it with trolls and dwarves. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
February 27, 201015 yr I am putting all my bets that the 3rd faction in Kingdoms will be the return of the Forestmen or something very similar.

February 27, 201015 yr Well, I do like the infantry, but I´m missing sets like: Well, I agree with you there. I would like to see more mounted knights but, I will also be happy with the dismounted knights especially since we are getting more great helms. Edited February 27, 201015 yr by Jack Bricker
February 27, 201015 yr I am putting all my bets that the 3rd faction in Kingdoms will be the return of the Forestmen or something very similar. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a return of the Forestmen more than anyone but I just don't see that happening anytime soon. What color would the faction be? Dark green is already taken, and green would be too similar in my opinion. I'm sure TLG thinks kids need to have defined factions with separate colors, so unless they make them dark tan or sand blue or something I can't see that particular faction being released.

Now, I don't think it's going to be a problem. ) Remember the Fantasy Castle? The dwarves had exactly the same color scheme as the Crownies, and still they were somewhat of a different faction, let allied with humans. Same could be done here. Forestmen have always been some kind of raiders and bandits (very much like Hood and his "merry men" ) and since LEGO obviously gives us a hint about "good" and "bad" guys (even let it be vague) I can easilly see Forestmen following the Dragons. Not to mention the use of trees and wood in Dragon Castle (or tower ). ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
February 27, 201015 yr Hey everyone! Yes, knights are ominously missing. At the moment, only the two large sets contain a knight on horseback. I am positive there will be smaller sets though. I feel the time when you could get 3-4 riders for the same faction in one set (usually the big castle) is over, but something like 7009 would still be very fine. The only thing bugging me is that there will be a duel-themed set released with this theme, only with foot soldiers. On weapons: is there a consensus of sorts as to what colors are the green faction's weapons? Any chance it's black? *looks at short sword*
February 27, 201015 yr I don't see why the new forestmen couldn't be green?! The new pirate torsos looked like updated versions of the old torsos. They could do the same with the forestmen series.
February 27, 201015 yr I just pray to god it will be. The new robin hood minifig makes me want that so much
February 27, 201015 yr The new robin hood minifig makes me want that so much Just like the Robin Hood collectable minifig, the theorized new Forestmen could be colored green and tan, for example, to differentiate them from the Dragon Knights.
February 27, 201015 yr I am putting all my bets that the 3rd faction in Kingdoms will be the return of the Forestmen or something very similar. Yes it would be a very wise choice.
February 27, 201015 yr Author On weapons: is there a consensus of sorts as to what colors are the green faction's weapons? Any chance it's black? *looks at short sword* It's hard to tell because of the poor lighting, but they look to me like the same dark pearl colour as their armour, not black.
February 27, 201015 yr It's hard to tell because of the poor lighting, but they look to me like the same dark pearl colour as their armour, not black. I think dark silver (metallic dark grey) weapons are awesome. It's almost surprising we've never had them before. On a related note regarding that picture, can anyone confirm whether the king's crown and sword are chrome gold or chrome silver? It's most likely chrome gold-- why would they change a long-established tradition?-- but I wish it were chrome silver. I really dislike chrome gold being used with warm gold (pearl gold). Also, what color is the horse's helmet thing (no, I'm not enough of a medieval buff to know what that's supposed to be called)? It looks to be reddish-gold (a color used in 2004-2005 Knights' Kingdom as well as 2003 BIONICLE), but I had thought that color was discontinued. Could be preliminary, of course.
February 27, 201015 yr The sword and crown are definitely chrome gold. You can see that in other pictures pretty good.
February 28, 201015 yr The sword and crown are definitely chrome gold. You can see that in other pictures pretty good. Ah. It's a bit of a pity; I wish the colors were more consistent. If it were Chrome Silver, it'd have been OK, because you could tell it wasn't supposed to match his armor. Looking at Bricklink, it seems the crown has hardly appeared in anything other than chrome gold-- and only on the Troll king fig. That's a real pity--I like the warm gold they use for the king's armor, and would not have minded the sword and crown in that color. Not like I'll be collecting much of this theme; I've got to try to suppress my LEGO addiction a bit now that I'm in college (I haven't done a very good job so far).
