The Penguin Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Ha! Very nice, thanks for showing. Definitely, the Lion one looks much better. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) That archer set it really neat! Not so much for the attack wagon. Wonder where they will be available. *Edit*: I really like the camp like feel of the archer set. Nice way to get apples, turkey legs, telescopes and soldiers. The attack wagon is kinda meh, but it's growing on me. the Inventor Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Great find, I hope I can get some. But I almost never get any promotional sets. the Inventor Quote
metalandi Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 These look great! And the attack wagon reminds me of this one: Quote

Instructions: Target Practice: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4595092.pdf Attack Wagon: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4595087.pdf From the instructions, we really get a better look at the torso printing for both factions. Impressive so far! For those who can obtain this type of set, even the attack wagon has its merits. Look at all that dark green (Earth Green) cheese! Silver Viking horns, too. And both sets could be good for army building (again, if you can get them-- I'm not quite sure how these 3---- promo sets are released). Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 These are nice little sets. Thanks for the images Whung! Quote
Delta 38 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Nice, but I probably can't get them. I haven't seen a single promotional set in ages. Quote
metalandi Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Me neither, but somehow i have to manage to get those. I got together all the sets since 2007 except last year's 3 sets, which, why ever, never surfaced on shelves around here... Quote
Mac-K Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Those two promo sets are very nice looking indeed! The archer set looked great from just a glimpse. So many useful pieces, and as others have said, the box art just gives off a nice camp feel to it. I was a little skeptical about the attack cart. That is, until looking at the instructions, and now I'd have to say that set as well is really quite nice! The abundance of green cheese in such a small set is good, and I really like the design of the ramming spike mounted on the cart. Apparently there's an issue with the availability of promo sets, but I have to admit I'm not really familiar with these type of sets. Do they sell at all in common retail stores, like Target or Toys R Us? (I list those stores because I'm American, and not familiar with major retail outlets in other countries ) Quote
CommanderFox Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for posting those pics Whung! They look like very nice little sets. CommanderFox Quote
Dadster Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 These are nice, but promo sets unfortunately, meaning i wont be able to get them Why? Doesn't indicate where they'll be promos from... Maybe you'll get lucky and a local store will hand them out for free! Think positive! Thanks for the pics BTW. Quote
Jar Jar Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Oooh! Those promo sets look superb! On the Target Practice set, are those lime green apples I see on the tree? Quote
hawkyboy4 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 For once I can't wait for new castle stuff, from what I've seen, the sets will be perfect for Lego Zelda. :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I actually prefer the battle wagon over target practice, but both have their merits. Trouble is they are promo packs, through who will they be.........Daily Mirror in the U.K. again my guess would be ! Quote

Trouble is they are promo packs, through who will they be.........Daily Mirror in the U.K. again my guess would be ! I don't remember the Daily Mirror promos ever to include minifigures, but I may be wrong. This look more like a TRU type of promo... Do TRU in the UK ever have promotional sets? In Canada they used to. Anyway, both sets look like nice part packs, the promotional sets this year seem all very well done regardless of the theme. Quote

Yep, the City and Star Wars ones did include minifigs or droids, dam we'll never see them in the land of Oz ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
Aanchir Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Oooh! Those promo sets look superb! On the Target Practice set, are those lime green apples I see on the tree? They're Bright Green, the same color that green LEGO apples normally are (this is the LEGO color Bright Green, not the color AFOLs consider normal green but LEGO calls dark green). If you notice, the plate which the target and apple tree are built on is also bright green. Quote
Gamer Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 These 2 promotional sets look reall good, suprisingly target practise has apples. Gamer. Quote
Sir Fred Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I'm not surprised that target practice has apples, you can put them on the head of another fig and then get some of the really fun target practice. I prefer the battle wagon over the target practice set, simply because target practice has the wrong kind of bow for what I want. The wagon looks like one of those things that someone sends at an army to confuse them. Quote
Norro Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks for sharing! Great for army building until battle packs (if any) comes out! If only there were some shields... their absence is a perpetual spoiler of small set multiples. God Bless, Nathan Quote
ANT Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 If these are to be promo sets for TRU, they would be handed out for shoppers buying more than $xx of LEGO? I am not used to promo sets and I am wondering how it usually works Quote
supertoad64 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Too bad about the lack of shields, but these would still make pretty nice impulse sets. Doesn't Lego sometimes distribute these on Shop at Home? I just remember that some really small sets that seemed like these could be ordered from the catalog back in the original Knights Kingdom era. This line looks great so far; I can't wait to see how it develops. Quote
Tyrant Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 These two have their perks. The archery set has some nice parts. The other presents a way to better amass soldiers for the Dragon Army (without amassing soldiers for the Lion Army at the same time anyway). I guess (for those of us in the US) we can only hope that these are sold at Target like past polybag sets have been. Quote
RocketClone Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I am certain that these will be target halloween exclusives. Quote
