Interesting. It just occured to me that Dragon Knights do not have a leader. I mean the Lions have a king, but dragons don't. However to my taste they'd better have a queen! )

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) :classic:

On the first wave, the orcs dind't have one... and then we got those two great minifigs, the Troll Queen and King.. :)

These look to be just about what i expected from battlepacks, similar to the ones we got with the castle theme. I hope these are prelims since the dragon knights look a bit under-equipped compared to the lions. Three torsos and a leg print for the lions compared to a single torso and no leg printing for the dragons.

In general, i like the dragon knights the most. The red and white colorscheme of the lions just look, well, to danish. I guess i could use them as the ever-losing side in my castle diorama, but i wont buy many of them (yes - I am from Sweden). The green and black color of the dragon guys on the other hand is really nice. Can we hope for a dragon-rider as their leader?

It appears that the torch-bearing dragon knight has a classic head no1, that's a nice retro touch.

I have to say that I like the dragon theme better too. The English red and white with the lions is nice but, the dark dragon theme is just perfect. I do hope we get a new dragon with this series. I would love to see them make a dragon cave or something to that effect. :classic:

I think there has nothing to do being in China or not, the problem is Quality department. Maybe in China needs to be taken serious measures.

Green ones look formidable

looks good, but I wish the lion knights would have black waists, they'd reduce the price to 8 or 9 USD, NOT include a king or general in every set, and maybe, throw caution to the wind, and, if we're lucky, maybe include a HORSE for the guy with a lance............just a thought. I do like the dragon knights, save for the light silver weaponry....being a true fan of dark green and black, I just LOVE the color scheme, but they need some cool barding horses....

I noticed that too, I don't like the all grey legs. I hope they also change the dragon knights weapons to that metallic dark grey.

I just pulled the attack wagon set out of my mailbox! Gonna do the review tomorrow, cause i don't have enough light anymore today to take pictures.

Alright, after a few tries i think it looks pretty good

Thanks!!!

Interesting. Wish he had a dark pearl bley sword. What does the back of the instructions look like?

The back of the instruction shows the assambling of the fig and the last step of assebling the wagon, and small pictures from 5 other kingdoms sets. Nothing too exciting there.

Thanks for the pic metalandi! This looks like a neat little set, I'll definitely pick one up if I come across any. That dark pearl used for the armor of the Dragon Knights is just gorgeous. :sweet:

Thanks for the picture metalandi, that minifig looks fantastic - nice torso and I love the helmet. The little wagon isn't the hottest thing around, but as far as little promos/impulses go it's not bad.

This theme is shaping up greatly, I love the new fig designs and shiny dark bley helmets. Still, due to budget constraints and really not seeing a lot of useful pieces for my own projects it seems I'll only be getting the impulses this year.

That said, I'm glad so many Castle fans are happy and wish you the best of luck with a continued wave! :classic:

Agreed! I think this is going to be one of the best Castle themes in a long time.

I was at a local store today, and saw that all the fantasy era castle sets have disappeard from the shelves, there was no "old" castle stuff at all anymore. Also there are no castle sets in the most recent catalogue anymore(the one you can just pick up). I hope the new lin come sout sooner than august, cause i need to see some castle stuff in the stores!

Thanks to the Hun for posting the pics. I haven't written for quite a while on this thread. It is good to see that my sources are reliable. Back in early Feb I posted that the battlepacks were coming out before the rest of the sets. I still think this is very interesting marketing strategy.

The battlepacks look good but I agree with most on the color of the dragons weapons (dark pearl grey would be better) and I hope they get a couple of different torsos before final release. I am totally surprised that the lions do not have a great helm in their pack. Hoping for a horse in these packs is false hope. Although the lack of horses in the castle line does concern me. I just hope they keep putting them in the cheaper sets so I can pick up some at a lower cost. The lack of bows is concerning. Atleast the Fantasy era sets had some bows in the larger sets.

I am thankful to TLG that we have the option to get minifigs in the battlepacks. Look at how the price of the dwarves went through the roof on bricklink. It made anyone who bought them regret their decision when the battlepacks came out. Knowing battlepacks are coming out for the new line will keep internet prices in check and that makes more money for the lego group and less for third party sellers. A big plus in my book.

Ya looks like Lego is phasing the fantasy line out right now. I was at Toys R Us last weekend and the only castle set they had was the Trolls Mountain Fortress so I picked it up since it was the only set I didn't have from the 2009 castle sets. I regret not getting the Kings Castle Siege when it was out because it seems to go for more than the original sale price now if you try and get it on ebay or on Bricklink. Anyone who still wants to pick up the Medieval Market Village you probably only have a few more months at the most to do so. I got mine while I could!
