I all ready knew that hence my question. The castle one was in a similar position IIRC. The only Advent Calendar I seen in stores were City ones.

I hope they do come out in the USA, so I can get one too.

Actually, this has been answered before. In the petition for the 2009 Pirate Calender CopMike and Bonaparte (two of Eurobrick's fine Ambassadors) both mention that we should see the 2010 calender in North America. In that thread Bonaparte had this to say on the subject:

Here's the explanation I got from Steve Witt:

Last year when the castle advent calender was not available in US, D2C (Direct To Customer) people tried to get in on the pirate one for this year but the development frame had already been set and they therefore lost their opportunity (this was taking learnings from the castle thing). They are on time for forecasts this time around so in 2010 this shouldn't be a problem.

If I've read things correctly we only missed out on the Pirate Advent Calender because the line was already too far in development for things to be changed. LEGO knows that North American fans were upset after missing out on the 2008 Castle Calender (and more recently the 2009 Pirate Calender). It doesn't sound like an oversight they plan on making in the future. So far every indication we've had suggests that we should expect the Castle Calender for 2010.

I uploaded five pics with new minifigs.

knights.jpg_thumb.jpg

Yes, it's red-and-pink torso.

knights_back.jpg_thumb.jpg

Queen has double sided head, just like FE one.

queen.jpg_thumb.jpg

New head on girl (one-sided).

queen_back.jpg_thumb.jpg

I tried to show difference between dark bley halberd (right one) and new one (same colour as helmet).

shield.jpg_thumb.jpg

Unfortunately I had to use my old camera so quality isn't very good.

Thanks for the pics! ) :classic:

It seems that the Crown Queen had found a new husband! )

I must say, I'm really impressed with the Lions. A Queen, a Princess, a Prince and those pretty good looking soldiers! Way to go!

And at the same time it's a bit a shame that Dragons seem to be mostly rougish type of Knights: no obvious leader, forest/mountain fortress, etc. I'd really love to see a full-scale development of their faction: a proper castle, for example. Oh well, I guess you can't get everything at the same time! )

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) :classic:

Great pics, Nicholai.

What an awesome figures and finally an new female mini-fig head :sweet::thumbup: , but I can't really see those color variations on those halberds.

A shame that white printing looks pink on those red torso's.

Actually, the head is not new. It can be found in 3222 set:

There you go!

Anyway, it's good to see some variations. )

I am guessing these may be rejects somehow as the queen's printing seems to be rubbed off. Thanks for the pics!

Slightly disappointed with the recycled green/black peasant torso, but I am glad it's not just another soldier. Guess I can keep those MMVs sealed after all.

It's probably just me, but I think the Lion's torso would have been better suited with white arms (small gripe I know). Other than that they look to blend right in with the Crownies as another faction, can't wait for the line to come out!

The metalic arms represent chain-mail which knights would commonly wear with a tunic over the chain-mail that would show their coat of arms. :classic:

Actually the arms are grey not metallic, and I also think the Lion knights would look better with white for they look like the crownies.

What's wrong with looking like the crownies. I like the red and white version of the crownies and having a tunic over chain mail is more realistic. Take a look at the English knights on Braveheart, not the Scotch, and look at the crusaders on Kingdom of Heaven. Also If you read books about knights, the knights, not regular infantry, usually had tunics over chain mail because the chainmail breathes well and the tunic allows for the knights to show the coat of arms of who they are fighting for. So I have to say that I really like the newer figures. :sweet:

Thank you for the photos.

Upon closer inspection, I'm not sure I like the dragon knights torso. A little heavy on the chains if you ask me. Since this line is adhering to a more historic look, this torso looks very "fantasy" to me. I will have uses for the torso but IMO it doesn't look proper for a historic human faction.

I agree. Removing the chains altogether would have made the torso better, I think.

Thanks for the images Nicholai!

I'm not sure if these have already been posted, but here's a link to C-N's Brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=420970

Lots of the pics we've seen, but there's a few good new ones hiding in there.

Wuh-oh, am I the only one who's seeing a NEW dragon knight torso on this pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/C-N/Toy-...oy_fair_263.jpg (you'll have to zoom in on the archer in the tower...it looks like Gilbert the Bad's from KK1: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973px119c01 This makes me very happy...FINALLY some diversity.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot the back. Here you are: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4351338 Top middle of screen, BTW.

No, I listed out all the torsos on page 42, post #630 of this thread:

I really would love some clear shots of the kinghts' torsos. So far, I have seen:

Lions:

Chainmail w/cross belt & red arms

Checkered w/coat of arms & white arms

Printed plate???

Under king's armor??? (dark red w/white arms)

Under knight's armor??? (light bley hopefully printed plate)

Knight's armor (breastplate)

King's armor (breastplate)

Dragons:

Chainmail w/scalloped cowl & cross chain belt (similar to Bull soldiers) & dark green arms

Chainmail w/double crossed chain belts & black arms

Checkered w/coat of arms & black arms

Knight's armor (breastplate)

Did I miss any?

Thanks for the pictures! I can't wait to get these sets, but I don't really like the random cheese slopes on the prison carriage rescue and how the prisoner could climb out.

Yes, I wish they would've put a little more effort into the prison carriage. But, even if I wasn't the first, :hmpf_bad::laugh: I'm glad to have another Dragons torso.

I noticed that TLG really seems to love the cheese pieces, since they are everywhere in the new sets! Also in the knight's showdown there are 2 on the weapon stand, and there are dozens of red ones on the bif castle. I like them there, though.

The sets pictured above seem to be especially the smaller ones made to fit a price bracket, hence the prisoner wagon appears to be only lightly detailed, but hey it's Lego - pimp it when you get it !

I actually can't wait these to come out, as some with make great additions to my son's Castle collection, especially the Lion knights - COOL !

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:
