Sir Dillon Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 New Kingdom set 7946 is on ebay for $179, with $79 shipping :/ The caption says it wont be released until August. I hope thats wrong and its actually June! It depends on where you are located, but considering they are already showing up in select places I believe you'll have some kind of access to them before August. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 All the new Kingdom sets are available on the Toy"R"Us website. Quote
Freddie Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Brickset recently discovered that this year's Advent Calendars, one being Castle-themed (and the other, obviously, being city-themed), have been listed on Amazon.co.jp. Edited May 15, 2010 by Freddie Quote
Pally Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The Jester and Wizard are also available in the Lego shops in Germany (Oberhausen). Paid them a quick visit yesterday and shaw them on the shelves. Don't know if the other shops have them as well, but it should make sence. Quote

Hey, looks like there is a pell in there! Nice! Also cool to see a small blacksmith setup. I was just working on one for an impulse style set. Likes: Cool mini sets Pig! 4 civilian minifigs (I count the prince and queen) Dislikes: Only 1 dragon knight No dragon shields Non-printed armor Not sure if this is a mock up or the real deal, so I guess things could change. Glad to have another Castle advent calendar though. At least getting 2! Edited May 15, 2010 by UsernameMDM Quote
Nicholai Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Non-printed armor And it's Pearl Light Gray not Metallic Silver. It's also interesting that the visor helmet we get in calendar is the only one in whole line. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 And it's Pearl Light Gray not Metallic Silver. Not that that changes the fact that it's not printed This Advent Calendar looks awesome! I love the unique figures such as the Prince and Queen. I also love the 2 peasants (blacksmith and girl) I agree that there should be more by the way of dragons, but it's alright--after all the ratio of lion soldiers to dragons is 2:1 (the usual ratio) and besides the soldier is an elite! I would have liked an "evil" monarch, but I'm sure we'll get one eventually. Did I mention the pig?! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
UsernameMDM Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 And it's Pearl Light Gray not Metallic Silver. It's also interesting that the visor helmet we get in calendar is the only one in whole line. The color is ok since the printed armor is also light pearl grey. Now only if they would make unprinted dark pearl grey armor... True about the visor helms. Good thing I got a Fantasy Era Tic Tac Toe set! I love the unique figures such as the Prince and Queen. The prince torso and legs are most likely what the king has in the big castle set. Quote

lightningtiger Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Dam, this`one looks a bit better than the city one - another piggy ! Excellent looking queen - heaps of accessories - AWESOME ! Thank you 'grogall' for the links and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 There is a pig! Great parts, even better than the last year! Quote
JimBee Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 This looks great! A good way to get some of the most-wanted figures from this new line without having to buy the sets. Anyone know if the advent calendar will be available in the States this time around? Quote
prateek Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Awesome! I see a piggy! This is probably one of the best Advent calendars ever! Quote
Sir Dillon Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Thanks Grogall! It's good to see some clear pictures of the calender. Anyone know if the advent calendar will be available in the States this time around? Yes, it's supposed to be. Quote
Legorski Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Awesome, I may actually get this calendar, I'm liking what I'm seeing! Quote
gormadoc Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Majisto Lives On! YAY! I've been waiting yearsfor Mahisto to come back, and this wizard minifig resembles him most (in modern form). Quote
Euvor Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Hurray! For some reason I missed the Fantasy Era calendar so this is a must buy for me! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Thank you very much for these new and detailed pics of the advent calendar, Freddie and grogall! This Kingdoms advent calendar is really awesome and even much better than the previous one! Pro: I really like the minifigure selection and the huge number of minifigs: The queen and the prince are simply beautiful, the maiden and the wizzard are great and the two soldiers, the blacksmith and the skeletton are really ok. The accessory if awesome, too: I mainly like the table with the pan, the barrel, Excalibur in the stone (The knights of the Round Table send us their regards! ), the big pot and the pig. Con: I don't like the dragon knight - esp. since he doesn't come with a buckler. The accessory for the blacksmith is much too small and simple. The catapult is to laugh. All in all this is a really outstanding advent calendar. And although I will - apart from the two Impulses - not get any of the new castle sets, I'll buy this advent calendar for sure! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Oky Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Wow! Thanks for the pics! This is probably the best set out of the whole line! It even comes with a pig! And I too am loving that sword in the stone; so simple, yet so brilliant! Anyone know if the advent calendar will be available in the States this time around? Yeah, CopMike said in the Embassy that Lego wants to release both calendars in the US this year due to the demand last year. Can't wait! Quote
Cutty Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Good pictures! I'd actually preferred this in Crownie-style, but I can't change the transition of factions. Good things are the new wizard, the blacksmith (love that cowl in dark brown!) and the queen. The prince is somehow nice, but... I just can't lay my finger on it...something's missing. Perhaps if he had some sort of new tiara to signify royalty... The dragon-knight is a joke! Not even a shield! And that sparring-doll is ridiculous! For parts it'd be nice to have multiples of this set, but in figs I find it somehow lacking, without having something to say as to how it could improve... Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I love the sword in the stone too! I agree that the sparring doll bites, but I'm really not going to even keep it assembled if I get the set as it's just a bunch of random pieces. Good to get a light grey pizza flipper though! If only it were dark brown. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
iamded Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Awesome! Packed with plenty of wonderful parts. I am loving this calendar! Wait... is that an alchemy stand that the castle babe is standing behind? The box art is wonderful, the castle babe and knight standing under the mistletoe made me chuckle. Looks like a must get set. ~Peace Quote
