xilefsson Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) We don't even have proper online stores that sell lego sets, here in austria (besides amazon, and even they ship from germany) No, as far as I know there is another small online lego store in austria: ww.legoshop.at It has free shipping on orders over 30€. I already ordered there some times, they don't ship as fast as amazon, but they have some old sets that aren't available at amazon. Edited May 25, 2010 by xilefsson Quote
metalandi Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks, just checked that site out. They have a few nice sets, but they don't even have last year's castle sets, so i'm a fraid they aren't very up-to-date. Quote

Kumpelkante Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I ordered the entire 2010 wave of Kingdoms last week at an onlineshop (except the battlepacks and the adventcalendar) and they arrived this morning. My thoughts so far are: -The Buildings look greater than i imagined from the photos, especially the castle, whose front looks a bit boring on the fotos (at least the walls). But on my desk it looks really fine with the walls on all four sides and the towers. (I love that there are just a few open spaces) I still think that front of the dragon tower looks better than that of the castle and it is also a bit higher. Though it looks better on the photos. The small outpost is ok, nothing special. Summarized: 3 of 5 regular sets are buildings. Great thing this is. (i alway wanted to have more buildings in the fantasy line) -The figs are great, too. Again, the Dragons are a slightly bit bette than the Lions. (must be the colour scheme) Too bad, the do not have a (mounted, knights HAVE to be mounted) Knight as a leader. The "great helm" is -nomen est omen- great. I still wait of the reintroduction of the bullethelmet. The princess has the right hair colour: yesssss. I only have two complaints: First there could be more figs in general and more dragon knights/soldiers in particular. Second there needs to be more cavalry in general and some cavalry at all for the Dragons. Btw. the jousting set is missing -Is it me, or was there a bit more value for money in the fantasy line? and @TLC: If there is a horse in any set, please do not be to cheap to add a saddle. Quote
metalandi Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Can you tell me the name of that online shop? And what set do you mean when yout alk about a horse without saddle? I don't remember any lego set that contained a horse, but no saddle for it. Quote
Sir Fred Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 King's Battle Chariot, Medieval Market Village and Prison Carriage Rescue all have a horse but no saddle. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 The prison carriage rescue has a horse without a saddle, but that's because it's pulling the carriage. Same goes for the other two. Quote

Yepp you can purchase at spielwarenkontor 24 [i simply googled it, too. btw. is it allowed to link to onlineshops or is it considered spam?) The prison carriage rescue has a horse without a saddle, but that's because it's pulling the carriage. ... a prison carriage that has a sun roof. I want a prison carriage that is a cabriolet in the next wave errm you remind me to mock about that in the review thread for that set. King's Battle Chariot, Medieval Market Village and Prison Carriage Rescue all have a horse but no saddle. Hey, the MMV also had stables, so in this set it would've been easy to add a saddle. But otherwise MMV is too great to let this be the source of a conmplaint. But think of other older set like the prison carriage from the DRagen Masters subtheme (6056) there were two horses pulling the wagon, AND a saddle, so that one knight could (asthetically pleasing if that is a word) be mounted. But thats minor complaining anyway. Edited May 25, 2010 by Kumpelkante Quote

Sure, it's fine to link to shops in a case like this. However it would be frowned upon if you were to start a topic simply for the purpose of advertising a certain store. Quote

metalandi Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the link Kumpelkante, that's an awesome shop! @xilefsson: I just tried to order king's castle, and when it comes to choose the country to ship to, i actually can choose austria! It is there, among germany, denmark and sweden. And then, when you register you can also choose austria. I tried it out until the end, you get through the whole ordering process without trouble. metalandi Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Yeah, it's a bit pricey. I'll probably wait until they are in stores here (though the waiting will be ahrd) Quote
Oky Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Speaking of pricey, the impulses were $3.99 USD. Impulse sets are getting more and more expensive. But it's worth it for the great exclusive figs alone, not to mention the useful accessories! I will go back today to get Prison Carriage Rescue if they still have it, and to check the price of the Battle Packs for you guys. UPDATE: Just returned from the store and they didn't have the Battle Packs anymore, so I couldn't check. They still had all the other sets though. I decided to wait for a sale to get the Prison Carriage since I couldn't bring myself to buy 50 pieces for $10. Edited May 26, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

Jack Bricker Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I just got the Kings Castle and I think that it is the best castle Lego has ever made. It is totally modular so that you can buy multiples of the castle and connect them all, it has the gatehouse, it has a throne room that doesn't look as airy as the last one, and it has a proper prison with a prison door, unlike the last castle which really didn't have a prison door. Great castle and I can't wait to get the rest of the line. Quote
Chewk Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Prison Carriage Rescue is available at the US S@H: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...cn=640&d=70 Quote
boba_jagoda Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I'm not sure this deserves a separate topic, so here it goes: left: Brick Forge bucket helm right: LEGO bucket helm I prefer the look and feel of the LEGOs one, although my favorite is still the movable visor helmet. Quote
metalandi Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I kind alike both. The lego one seems a bit wider what i prefer, but the brickforge one has the seperate eye slots, which i prefer aswell, so both have their positives and negatives. I really like that brickforge shield though. Quote

Shroffy123 Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I don't know if this has been noted yet. But the torso colors on my lion knights in the outpost set, the white is perfect, it isn't pinkish like in the castle set. Quote
