Christmas just came early to me! Well..kinda  So glad the stuff arrived before the weekend. Gonna do a review on the battle pack later today. I was quite amazed when i opened the package, that they actually gave me an extra 30061 promo set for FREE! :oh3:

where did you order them?

At This site. I'm really glad that someone (sorry, don't remember who it was) posted the link here on the board. Thank you very much! This is an awesome online store. They charge a bit much shipping costs, but the shipping was incredibly fast, and i even got a free set as i said. I think that will be the place for me to order new lego sets from now on.

Concerning the printing of the battlepacks, there is a slight difference indeed, although it doesn't matter in my opinion. But it's true, some of the figs have quite loose legs and on some there seems to be a problem with the hands somehow as outlined above.

But I was really angry when I opended the dragon's battlepack and noticed that the leader's black cape was crinkled. And my 7950 Knight's Showdown did not include the dark sword for the dragon's knight. This already happend to me when buying last year's christmas calender in which the bow was missing. LEGO should definitely pay more attention.

By the way, here's a list of the minifigs' heads... that's just too much of "3626bpb312", this strange angry Dragon Knight with brown beard... the photos are taken from bricklink, hope it's ok. Otherwise I'll remove it of course.

I'm not quite sure if this has been said yet, but the kingdoms promos (Wizard & Jester) are available at the Canadian and American S@H, I'm guessing that they will be some in North America. :sweet:

Legorski,

Well, these would be rather impulses, than promos. I'm still waiting for the archer promo set to surface SOMEWHERE.

The Chinese say that "It's better to be a fool for 5 min than a full your whole life" - so, not to be a fool for any minute more, could someone please explain me what is a promo? Do we get them in stores? Or online only? Sorry for my ignorance :cry_sad:

My bad, I tend to make any type of grammatical error, *facepalm*

Impulses was the word I was looking for.... XD

Promo means Promotional / Not for sale.

These items are not (or rarely) to be found in stores, but can be given away for free. Over the last few years, Daily Mirror had a few promotional runs, so did McDonald's.

Legorski,

There ARE some in North America. I saw the wizard and jester sets at the TRU in Hamilton and I bought 4 wizard sets. Funny, I went to the Oakville TRU too and they didnt have the Kingdoms impulse sets there yet.

Kinda weird to see that nobody seems to have spotted the arche rpromo set yet. I really wanna get a few of those. I already have 4 of the battle cart, now i need a few of those too!

Are those Promotion Sets only available in the USA? I never saw a Promotionset in Germany. If I can get some in Germany please tell me where.

Dangnabbit! TLG, why won't you give us good plastic or GREAT HELMS in the BPs for $3 USD per minifig?! Grrr.....

On a happier note, I got the Outpost Attack and the Prison Carriage Rescue, and both look great!

I got already 3 with my orders at spielwarenkontor24. But i think they aren't available directly in stores.

That's not true. I got the attack wagon promo set at a local store (Germany) because I bought Kingdoms stuff for about 30 € or 40 €. I think this store somehow belongs to "Idee und Spiel" ( www.ideeundspiel.com ). It might be the same for other stores that are linked to this company somehow.

He meant that you can't buy them in stores, only get them with a larger amount of other Kingdoms sets (in which case, however, they are free).

I just said that i THOUGHT that you can't buy them directly in shops, thanks for the head-up that they actually seem to be available at shops. And yeah, i got the 3 ones for free, when i ordered them at that online store.

these new sets look great, but does any one know why they changed the name from castle to kingdoms?

I think the exact opposite lightningtiger. I think the name "Kingdoms" was chosen to allow diversity.

IE, Lion Knight Kingdom, Black Falcon Kingdom, Dragon Knight kingdom, Troll Kingdom, Crown Knight Kingdom, Dwarf Kingdom

I myself like variety.

Does anyone know when we can expect the first pictures / rumors of the 2011 Kingdoms line? And what will be included?

I'm assuming they'll follow the classic 84 - 86 trend and release a larger castle / fortress for the Dragon Knights and some smaller structures for the Lion Knights. Most likely an increased civilian focus now that we've seen MMV.

Then in 2012 - or 2nd half 2011? - a 3rd generation of Kingdoms with perhaps an even greater castle? Something massive on a raised baseplate perhaps?

And somewhere along the line I'm sure we'll see the forestmen again.

I'm confident this line is evolving well. As in the past we'll probably see a 3 years release cycle. The current sets are somewhat limited - badies tower being my favorite at this point because of the interesting "organic" design - but once more sets will be available I feel everything will be lifted to a whole new level. Something sum of the elements being bigger than yada yada yada.

Very curious to see the 2011 line!
