I always felt awkward lifting heavy chunks of metal during P.E. class, surrounded by mirrors on the walls. Why do we need those anyway? To watch ourselves make funny faces when we drop a dumbell on our feet? To get made fun of when you accidentally find yourself staring at somebody else while you were actually lost in thought?

As you can tell, it's not my favorite memory.

My Flickr.

A very cool vignette. Really good work with the bench for the barbell.

Simple design but very good. Good pick of all the faces as well.

Didn´t know the Torso from Indy existed in yellow, is it a sticker?

Mirrors are crucial because they help you spot issues with your posture while performing exercises. Seeing as that's the most crucial thing regardless of the kind of weights that are involved, you practically couldn't do without mirrors - no enthusiast can ever perform all their weight-lifting routines without a single mistake.

Nice MOC though :] And I agree that this grey-haired fella looks like he's gonna kick some megablocks - what with those muscular legs, that would be painful!

Is the younger kid missing an arm???

Great Vig regardles, the faces are perfect and the dumbell looks great, it's even slightly bending, that really add's to the effect.

Thanks for the comments.

It's from Brickforge.

Ah, okay. I never really considered it- I know ballerinas/dancers have mirrors for the same reason, but I didn't consider the same for weight lifters. I assume it's just as important, though. Not having the right posture while lifting can really mess you up.

It's behind his back.

I saw this on Flickr yesterday night - hilarious!

The overall vignette is smooth and realistic - I love how the the hose is bent like that!

I think that the sage old man would actually win if they had a fight - he would probably be smart enough to cheat and throw the dumbbells at him!

Great title too!

Hello!

That's a great scene with a lot of movement regarding its small size. The motion of the big handle is great. The wheel as small handle is a clever idea. :classic: The entire scene reminds me to the movie "Space Cowboys" and would be a perfect quote of it. :classic:

Cheers,

That made me laugh. Great scene. I think that old guy has been working his legs overtime. Those two better watch out for a round house kick.

Well... see for yourself.

I experimented with multiple leg styles, but this was about the best I could get. I think the main problem was angling the foot- I tried to fix this by angling his foot's stud grip on the floor slightly.

Excellent! Very entertaining - I love how the bar is bending under all that 'weight.' That is something that I would expect to see in a cartoon. Your choice of mini figures and their respective heads is commendable.
