curtisrlee Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Blue Baseplates = WOOT!!! Just rumors though, no 100% garrentee Quote
Rick Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Just rumors though, no 100% garrentee It's a re-release (under the same 'old' three-digit set number 620 as before) scheduled for 2010. So no rumors. Here's the Brickset page... Quote
martinsuper Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Martin Super will be happy... YOU KNOW IT! Finally, being such a jerk pays off! This really good news! I just got a hold of four new ones and am feeling rather pleased. I think I have eight altogether now which feels like a huge amount. Good to know we will be able to get more. Yeah, it becomes an addiction. I have 40 of them. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Yeah, it becomes an addiction. I have 40 of them. That's a LOT of blue base plates and those things aren't usually cheap. I will be happy to see them come back as I am glad to see you again. Seems like its been a while. Quote
tedbeard Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 The cost is the reason my LUG recently spent some money to make blue tablecloths so that we can have a blue surface without having to cover it all in plates. Quote
MillerTime Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Actually, they did. It was a long time ago, though...I also hope this won´t mean that they aren´t selling the green ones anymore. Back in the day they sold all 3 baseplates: x-large gray, large blue and green....then they stopped selling blue. Until now. Quote
parchioso Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Is this blue 32 X 32 baseplate that you guys are talking about? http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/3811 Well, I have a couple of these blue base plates, mainly from a set known as 9286: http://brickand.me/2009/08/11/9286LargeLEG...eBaseplate.aspx 9286 is quite costly, if I had known that this new set 620 is coming up, I would not have purchased the extra 9286 sets. Any idea on how much 620 is going to be? Quote
mattb483 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Hey guys I just went to the lego store today and I bought 4 blue base plates, they had lots of them there!!! There not on Lego.com yet but the there out!!! Quote
PittSOB Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Ah man great news!!!! What was the prices on them? When I place my order for the imperial ship I'm going to have to add about 8 of these. Quote

MillerTime Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Blue baseplates are now on Shop at Home! Quote
Jack Bricker Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I wonder if this could be a clue that we will see more pirates. Why release the blue baseplates if you are about to discontinue the pirate line in six months. I just doesn't make much sense unless you are going to release more pirates in 2011. Quote

I'm afraid sometimes the ideas of Tlc doesn't make much sense, so I just get them for my pirates, city and castle I already got. Quote
Legoist Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Blue, gray and green baseplates should always be available although I would also like smaller ones to be available, such as 32x16 and 16x16. Then they should also release tan and brown baseplates. Quote
