Ricecracker Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I was just thinking to myself how I hadn't posted my last seven MOCs here yet, so I decided to make a second thread with my most recent vehicles. Going from oldest to newest, we start off with a Japanese Kei truck, like the ones used in the fish markets. I built this for a 62 piece build challenge at my LUG, and I think it came out well for being in the limit. Next up we have Dragster. The Dragster is built with a pull back motor, so it actually works! Built for the November LUGNuts challenge, I have an All Terrain Utility Vehicle, built in the style of LEGO themselves! The next MOC is a welder's truck, but unfortunately I could only get one mediocre picture. The next two are very similar. Almost exactly the same. Except for scale that is. A chevy lowrider, one is a minifig scale, and one is Tiny Turbo scale. Finally, we have a Ford F-550 Crew Cab FlatBed Truck, which some of you might have seen in the Christmas Raffle. More available on my flickr. Let me know what you think! Quote
Big Cam Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 The first truck is brilliant, I loe it. The flatbed construction and the chain for tie downs. Just great! The rest are equally as nice, but the first one really catches my eye. Great work! Quote
prateek Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Great job on all the vehicles buddy My favourites are the kei truck and the green Ford Quote
BlueBard Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Nice job, really! Love the designs and specially that dangerous looking guy in the first pic! Quote
Milan Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I like the welding truck the best! All models are nice, but that one is my favorite! Quote
Ricecracker Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 Thanks everyone! The first truck is brilliant, I loe it. The flatbed construction and the chain for tie downs. Just great! I'm glad you like it! I tried to get as much detail in as possible, while still keeping to the 62 piece limit. Great job on all the vehicles buddy My favourites are the kei truck and the green Ford Thanks. The Ford is based off of a truck I see almost daily at a construction site near Yonge and Eglinton. Nice job, really! Love the designs and specially that dangerous looking guy in the first pic! Haha! I wanted to use one of the Exo-Force heads for the vendor, and I thought this one was the best. I like the welding truck the best! All models are nice, but that one is my favorite! Thanks Milan! I'm going to try to get more pictures of it, but I can't promise it'll be soon. I'll post them here when I do though. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 First vehicle is sick and the guy looks like a standin for Mad Max - cool ! The top fuel dragster - not bad. Welders truck - also not bad. The flat bed - nice too. Keep up the good work, 'Ricecracker'. Quote
Rick Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Great cars. Like most have said, I really like the small flatbed in the first picture, in all its simplicity (with still some clever SNOT around the front wheel). The bars on the yellow 4 x 4 are a nice addition, like the roof rack on the welders' truck. The blue lowrider looks really cool too. The green flatbed seems to have too long a wheel base on the pictures, but that could just be the angle of the pictures. Quote

If I move it forward, it looks too forward, and I can't move it back for obvious reasons. In the end I settled for this, even though it's not perfect. Quote
prateek Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Thanks. The Ford is based off of a truck I see almost daily at a construction site near Yonge and Eglinton. I've seen some running around and this is pretty accurate. I love how you made the windshield Quote

A lot of my recent MOCs have been inspired by this particular construction site, actually, including the Welder's truck, and my past bin truck. Quote
