Dunjohn Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Does anybodz have this set? I seem to be missing a bag from it; is there supposed to be two #1s? I'm trying to build the white robot but half the parts are missing. No Ryu head or hair, for a start. Who would I contact about this? Cheers for any help! Quote
Siegfried Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I have the set and I didn't have any assembly issues. Check the parts list and if you're sure it's wrong contact TLG. Quote

Siegfried Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Im not so sure that would work considering that the theme is discontuned. In the past they used to, and the set isn't that old. I've heard of spare parts given for 10 year old sets. Besides, the set doesn't have too many specialised parts in it. In any case it's worth a try. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Yeah there is no reason for LEGO not to have back up parts, it's not like LEGO went "The theme ended, throw all the bricks out".. Quote
Topsy Cret Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Yeah there is no reason for LEGO not to have back up parts, it's not like LEGO went "The theme ended, throw all the bricks out".. You'd be surprised at what holding up a big black bag outside of LEGO's factory windows will do to your collection... Seriously though, LEGO does most likely have the parts. I've often wondered how large quantities of pieces can escape the packaging areas. Perhaps it would be in LEGO's best interest to invest in scales so that if a package doesn't fit the required weight for that set, they'd know about it. Just a thought... Quote
Dunjohn Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 Thanks, guys. I'll build the rest of the set first to make sure there's nothing else missing. There definitely must have been a second bag for the mech, but I don't think I'm missing any truly unique parts (other than minifig elements) so it's unlikely that Lego wouldn't have any left. It'll be a pain, itemizing what's missing when it's clear that it's all in one bag, but that's a comprehensive enough system they have. I can't bring it back to the shop because it was the only one they had. I'm delighted to have found it at all, Exo+Force being my favourite line. Quote

Just a thought... Actually this is exactly what they do, but no system is perfect. Each bag is weighed, and the boxes themselves are weighed. But what must happen in some cases is the bags land in the boxes and fall out prior to being sealed. I buy a lot of LEGO, and in total I've had zero missing parts. I've had a few cases of incorrect parts (like the fig in the AT-AT set, which they replaced), mismolded parts (replaced), and defective motors (both replaced, and I was given an extra). In addition I've had a few sets where a mistake was made in the set design and the correct parts were thrown in, leaving me with extras. I have no complaints. Quote
Dunjohn Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Wow, I got the stuff today, that was fast! Zero fuss too, I just filled out the form, got an automated email, then it arrived today. Dead pleased. They threw in a couple of spare bits, too: Some trans-red round studs, a solid white one, and, uh, a pair of Stormtrooper helmets. Yeah. I only own one Stormtrooper minifig, that came free with the Daily Mirror a few months back. Now he has three helmets to choose from. Edited December 12, 2009 by Dunjohn Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 There is always the chance someone opened the box, stole the bag for the minifigure parts, and then resealed it. I think that happened a Batman set I had, I "ordered" like 70 "replacements". I had one mistake in that (A minifigures head, Ridler?) and then ordered that as soon as I heard Batman ended. Quote
