CMP Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 About 2 months ago I wanted to build something apocalyptic. I do not know why, I just did. I built a little (roughly) 6x12 building with 1 side open. That was my main design. The semi-modular thing comes from the fact that I built them as single buildings, then connected them all from whatever I had on hand. I built 5 more, and then, 4 6x6 corners. Did a little adjusting, and here is the result. For those of you who say "Hey, this tiny thing is not a town! There's barely 15 people!" Well, this town was built from scratch in apocalyptic times. So there. The people! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/windwiza...n/picture_1.jpg Here they are in order from right to left, starting at the top: Supermutant, bug mutant, scarred mutant, police mutant, raider gunner, raider driver, raider captain, mayor, captain of security, citizen 1, mechanic, gate guard, labor bot, goverment cyborg, traveller, citizen 2, guard, citizen 3, sniper, scavenger 1, scavenger 2. The main view! Note the crane to life supplies into the city, mounted machinegun, gate (to the right), chair for guard (left), and sniping post. Right side (2 modules). To the left are 2 bunks (Not enough room for everybody to have one) to the right is the tool/weapons storehouse. The back module, opposite the gate. The mechanic area, with motorcycle front, tires, and engine. The left side (another 2 modules). To the left is the mayor's office with emergency pisto (and car front for light)l, to the right is the food storehouse, the engine is the "stove" for heating food. Also note the ladder. The back of the gate. The gate is connection by a chain to the lantern up above, which the gate guard holds and pulls to open. The the right is the water tap. I used the moisture vaporater piece from Tusken Encounter for water levels. Now for the extra stuff. My apocalyptic car! (Short Round's car, but MODded to the point of awesomeness.) Note the machinegun on the back. Unfortunatly it removes cargo capabilities. Front view. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/windwiza...n/picture_8.jpg Back View. Those 2 little grey bits attached to the mounted technic holder are hooks for pulling stuff. My awesome custom pick-up truck. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/windwiza.../picture_10.jpg It is attached to the trailer (in the next picture). The raider's trailer, used to raid towns and camps strewn across the world. Extra bits! The scavenger's (the town's, who search for stuff in the ruins of cities.) motorcycles, my radio, a barrel, a crate, and extra bunk. And that's it. Post your comments! Quote
Tereglith Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) It looks pretty good from what I can see, but the pictures (especially the close-up ones) are rather poor. Put it on a white background and turn on some lamps, it'll improve the photos immeasurably. Looking forward to getting better views of this great creation! Edited December 3, 2009 by Tereglith Quote
Knightsword Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Looks good, but yes the photos do need some improvement and could use some of this: Quote
Legostein Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Hello! I can hardly see anything here. I guess it was 7:42 PM when you took those photos. May I suggest to wait for the daylight which provide the full light spectra so that all colours appear as they should. Proper ligtning also lets your camera take less blurry pictures. Looking forward to see all the nice details in proper light! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
RoryoCox Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 As said above the photos are poor but the MOC is very impressive. Maybe you could make some minifigures to go along with it. Keep up the good work! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I think you need to try again on the pictures. It looks like you spent a lot of time on this but unfortunately we just can't appreciate what you have done based on the blurry and grainy images. Quote
maiq the liar Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Super Mutant Is that a nod to Fallout i see? Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Looks like a very nice creation, but as people have said better pics would be nice. I really like the look of it though. CommanderFox Quote
