benny Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) After the 2nd re-development of post office, the brwon building is left! I don't want to break it into the bricks so that i improve it into a seafood wholesale market! The original size is too large, i reduce it in the width! The building roof is changed ! For the internal part, i add a walk-in freezer, light, restroom and toilet! The style is followed the japanese building style! It is a wholesale market of tuna, japanese crab and scallop!!!! The orange minifigures are the market staffs. The others are the buyers and workers! The outdoor can be used as parking of boat for repairing and storage of seafood! lightningtiger Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Great MOC, Benny. What no Whale meat ?! Maybe these have given it up or is it the grumpy looks on some of their faces. Cool looking freezer - love the design of it - simple and true. The little brown motorized cart - cute - again simple and true. I bet you that guy wished for some toilet paper. And I'm a bit worried about the guy with the giant chain saw. I also like the yellow fork lift. Good work !!!! Quote

If i really post the sale of whale, i think the WWF and Green Peace will ban me. Yes! For toilet paper! When i uploaded the photos, i found that i forgot to add the toilet paper in the toilet. The fishman has to clean the "XX" by hand or other method. hehe! Ah! In Japan, it has the automatic water basin. No need to use the toilet paper. Edited December 3, 2009 by benny Quote
Rick Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Great MOC! Besides the excellent exterior, I really like all the little details inside. Also, the little van, fork lift, and that other transporter are really well done. Can you imagine the smell in the upstairs office with that fish market below and the (really well-built) toilet on the same floor? Quote
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Excellent piece of work! You really brought the fishmarket alive! Cheers, JJ. Quote

Can you imagine the smell in the upstairs office with that fish market below and the (really well-built) toilet on the same floor? As it has no more space to build the toilet at G/F, the toilet should be built at 1/F!!! The 1/F is the office, restroom and toilet!!! It can prevent the contamination to the fish! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Fantastic Benny! I love all the extra details that you put into this superb MOC. That freezer is fantastic, and the little bathroom - love it! Neat transport truck very "Classic-Town". I think this deserves some front-page publicity. Great job! Quote
Guss Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 nice! I love the design and the inside is nicely detailed, the toilet are ace! Quote
Big Cam Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Very nice model. I love the freezer area and the toilet is a great plus. It really looks like a fish market. Truely superb work. Quote
Milan Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I like how dynamic it ls! Everything is in motion and everything has its purpose. Color of the building is excellent. Vehicles are nice, too! Overall, MOC is great Quote
Darth Hawken Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 great seafood market. the vehicles are fantastic and the frezzer and bathroom are a nice touch, although I wouldn't want a window in my bathroom , Suberb Moc Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You did a truely great job with every aspect of your MOC. The design of the building is great. It really has a werehouse feel to it. All the details and the trucks and equipment really help bring it to life. The way you have the seafood arranged and the placement of minifigures and vehicles has created a very real setting from which to appreciate your outstanding MOC. Quote
benny Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) great seafood market. the vehicles are fantastic and the frezzer and bathroom are a nice touch, although I wouldn't want a window in my bathroom , Suberb Moc Thanks! Darth Hawken! You have the good observation, you are the first lego fans to see the inside of toilet through the window. So sexy! For the motion of minfigures, i think they are designed accidently! I am happy that so many lego fans like the freezer and toilet! Both of them are simple, eveyone can also try to make them. The Brickster, I am exciting that my MOC is posted on front page. Superb is my Hong Kong lego player name and brickshelf name! I also want my lego MOC is superb. Thanks for eveyone's comment !!!! Edited December 3, 2009 by benny Quote
BlueBard Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Really nice MOC I specially like how you thought at so many cool details for the interior like the freezer or the fishes in the line Quote
Zorbas Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Truely an amazing creation! Well done benny, it looks fantastic! I really like the busy exterior (extra for the small cargo van) and the colours you've used. It's like hearing all the noise, the yelling, people talking and the sound of the vehicles just like in real fish markets! I just love the freezer! Especially that photo with the freezer door open made me feel the chill. The forklift is my favorite though! I guess you remember that! 3-wheels ftw! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 This is a really nice design Benny. You have captured the general dirtiness of life in a wholesale fish market beautifully. Loads of details are really pleasing, including the small vehicles, packing line, cool room, bathroom, outside design. Its all good! Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Really nice job with this MOC Benny I really like all the vehicals driving around. The freezer is Great! The toilet is a nice design aswell. The bulding is very nice! Nice job with this! CommanderFox Quote

Thanks for everyone 's comments, i am happy to hear them!!!! I like to make the Chinese and Japanese style building or equipments MOC so as to promote our Eastern culture. For this building, it is the traditional Japanese building after 2nd World Wars. Most of them is made of wood and have two floors. The slope of roof of building is used as removing the snow on the building in the winter. At the shop front, the "dark grey chinese word" means "Fish"! It is same meaning as Japanese. It is the shop name. It is so interesting that we hear the market noise!!! I have to hear clearly to know that they say English or Japanese. hehe! Quote
Piranha Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Clever idea for a MOC! I don't think this was even an idea in the "Ideas for New City sets" thread Great work! I really enjoy the whole MOC. The freezer is a nice touch as is all the vehciles such as forklift and cargo truck! Quote

If lego co. can focus on our MOC and design more supermarket, market or other citizen use facilities, the lego fans should be very happy!!! It will be much better than fire station, police station and construction equipments! I am so happy that so many lego fans like the walk -in freezers! Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) This is a very nice oriental building which you have created down there. All of the pictures which you have done, simply tells a thousand words just by the look of it. I truly enjoyed very aspects of this wholesale market of yours, where details are taken good care of, such as the signboard of using the chinese character "yu" which is known as fish to represent the nature of this business. The toliet and the in-house freezer is some nice feature. Those neatly arranged fishes seemed to be ready for transportation of stored it inside the freezer. Furthermore, those 4-studs wide vehicles are zooming around up and down, being busy at what they do best. Great job once more, and thanks for sharing it with us. This has been featured in Classic-Town.net. Go and take a look at it after 1 hour 24 hours, from the time I made this post. Edited December 4, 2009 by WhiteFang Quote
