I thought it might be fun for those of you who have the Winter Toy Shop to share an image of the set in its surroundings.

Next to snowy peaks, by frosty streets, on fireplace mantels, with lots of Santas... how have you displayed your Winter Toy Shop?

Share an image here.

Anyone?

If I'll find time I will finish my modding of my Winter Toy Shop and take pictures tomorrow. I plan to add two more light bricks to light up the lower floor too.

What a great idea! I would love to show you mine! But unfortunately some people actually have to wait for Christmas for their sets

That's a warm fuzzy winter scene on the street in front of your Winter Toy Shop

Here's mine. A really enjoyable build.

Mine is still in the box. :cry_sad:

I'll build it once I'll be done with this semester in school.

here is mine

Bricklingston looks like a busy little town. I hope that lava doesn't consume the little shop.

Here's mine.

Very nice PPE. I love the brick work behind it, adding to the charm of the set. This is the sort of thing that I was envisioning when I started the topic.

I'll share mine this evening/tomorrow AM. I'm trying to expand the scene a bit.

My shop grew

Edited: Added more exterior close-ups and interior shots

Exterior close-ups

Instead of a Jack-in-a-box, the Bobby was frightened by the horrifying skeleton head with flaming red hair and burning eyes. What kind of sick mind would create toys to scare children anyway? :P

Behind the toy shop, Roy is devastated to see his crush (Girl with freckles and red hair) locked in a kiss.

In the front shop window display, the attractions are robot 101 on the right and Amber Morning Train (can also see the Toymaker at the counter).

Interiors

Apart from the window displays, the first storey also has a big bear and bargain bin next to the stairs. The light brick is located on the back wall for easy access - unfortunately the dustbin and broom can't be seen from this shop as they are hidden under the stairs.

Moving up to the 2nd storey where the more adult toys are kept, we see Mrs Toymaker introducing a customer to another best selling toy this season - life size Belville fairy.

The blackboard in the upper left corner lists the top 10 best selling toys. In the right corner, the shelf stocks the latest steering wheel for Ybox 180 as well as limited edition golden ball and the more common soccer ball.

The Toymaker's attic is where he creates his little masterpieces:

Thanks

The lave pit is due to be sorted in the next week or so, so the toy shop should be safe

Anyone?

Still haven't built ours... It's been a busy week and we're yet to decorate the house.

Along with putting up our town layout, we are also going to do our Christmas village arrangement which is not related to LEGO in any way. I was wondering whether you guys would be interested in seeing that once we're ready?

The more, the merrier!

My shop grew

*snip*

Awesome scene! The caroler dstage is awesome, and I like the 2nd storey and the ski hill

Unfortunately, mine is still in the hand of "La Poste"... :cry_sad:

I'm waiting it for 2 weeks, but as soon as I build it, I'll post a picture of the display !

But unfortunately some people actually have to wait for Christmas for their sets
I'm one of those people!

I'll be happy to post lots of pics in January if I remember this thread.

I'm still working on some additions, but I love the set.

Mine's just boringly sitting atop a DVD cabinet. But right now it's the only Christmas decoration in the house.

Nothing too special, but I did make one small addition deino2.gif

I won't be getting mine until next week on my birthday, or at least thats what i was told  I did however help my younger cousin build his and we put it on a cabinet.

A dark and bad picture of my Winter Toy Shop, but you might see that it has more lights than normal, 3 in fact :classic:

For the moment I don't have it displayed anywhere but I'm planning to take it with me when I'm going home over Christmas, maybe I will find a place for it then.

I haven't start building mine yet, but I hope I could share some pictures in time. :sceptic:

My shop grew

Oh! It seemed someone is also a member of Eurobricks.

Feel free to share your Winter Toy Shop setup along with the snow ski in Eurobricks Community.

Here's mine, displayed on the bottom of the fireplace:

That's a very nice place to display your Winter Toyshop! It sure looks real cosy to be under the fireplace.

Saw your friendly taun taun hopping by to said hello!

Here is my picture of the Winter Toy Shop. I placed it underneath our Christmas Tree along with the Holiday Train. It's hard to tell from the picture (since I used a flash) but the toy shop has three 12V lights inside that help to light the shop.

I also incorporated several other 12V features into my 9V train layout. The Remote Control Signal (the solid red light in the upper left corner) actually stops the 9V train when it hits a certain part in the track. I also incorporated parts of the Remote Control Road Crossing into the layout and the gates raise and lower as you hit the button.

Since I live in the US and we only use 110V, I had to get a step-up converter to make the 12V functionality work with my layout.

Enjoy!

Gary

Not been able to get this. Sold out online, ebay's daylight robbery and the Lego Store at Bluewater ran out in October! Never mind, I'll just have to dig out the Holiday train...

That's too bad. I hope you're able to find one somewhere. It really is a great set.

It's interesting. The box that the Winter Toy Shop comes in is the exact same holiday color scheme that the Holiday Train came in. I wonder if LEGO is going to produce more sets that have this holiday theme?

I have mine displayed on the window ledge in my kitchen. I made a few minor adjustments :classic:
